I took 15 and 17 from a pedestrian bridge over Sims Way just south from Geylang Road.
I'm quite happy I stayed away from the downtown because I indeed got to see a bit more of the regular life and got a chance to do some daily commuting to the city...

haha, I guess Geylang is indeed slightly off the beaten track but it's still a well-known place. I briefly went to Boon Lay and Nanyang Tech University campus to meet some friends but unfortunately didn't take any photos there... I guess I'll have to dedicate my next visit to SG for the outer areas of the city.

It looks very good at night (better than in the day) :D. I didn't take any night photos of the area though :(

It was 8 or 8:30... but I guess no surprise here because most outlets are open till very late. They can't operate 24/7 non-stop. I usually wake up much later even when traveling (10-ish or so). And Geylang seems to be a late night area where things keep happening long after midnight. :)

Wow I really like your varied mixture of pics. You have an ability to capture details of very ordinary scenes of daily life (something that is usually not captured in pics), especially for a visitor. They're not the standard tourist kind of shots. Well done! :D

As can be seen in the last few pics, lot of stuff still u/c at the moment. Guess you wanted to catch the construction action. And whats that caption in pic no.8 mean?

lol thanks for asking about caption 8... it happened that I have posted these pics on another forum which is in my native language... It only said what's written on that plate sticked to the tree. I just forgot to delete it, it seems, how bizzaire :D

As about the last few pics, I didn't really intend to capture the constructions but simply took the MRT to the terminal stop without much of a reason... and woo hoo what a surprise, I'm in a middle of a massive construction site! To be honest, I was extremely surprised to see THAT much of construction activity ALL around the city. I mean these days in many countries even ongoing projects are halted for better times not to mention initiations of new ones... it seems, that's not the case in Singapore. I probably won't be coming back next year but it seems couple of years later many things will be different, especially around Marina Bay area. So it will have to be another reason to be back in a couple of years from now :)

Last part of my tour to Singapore...
Although it was my 3rd time in SG, I'm more than sure that it won't be that long before I'll come back once again, and again... :)

No not really. I guess I'm not a beach person. I barely visited any beaches in SE Asia despite having traveled here for 6 times by now. I just don't find it interesting or exciting in any way and get bored after 10 minutes of looking at the sea and taking a couple of photos... not to mention artificial beaches like one in Sentosa ;)
