View Full Version : Which UK stadia have you been to?
CharlieP May 10th, 2009, 08:04 PM Thought I'd make good use of the new 30-option polls - which stadia have you been to (for a sporting event or concert or paid tour)?
Capacities are from Wikipedia so please don't shout at me if they're wrong.
Paws May 10th, 2009, 08:31 PM missed out Ibrox
CharlieP May 10th, 2009, 08:40 PM Aargh, what a stupid twat. Can a mod please stick it in?
G.C. May 10th, 2009, 11:50 PM You've missed out thousands of grounds... What about us who follow real football and not the Premiershit?
CharlieP May 11th, 2009, 09:44 AM No shit. There's a maximum of 30 options on a poll, so I chose (what I thought was) the 30 largest by capacity, on the basis that they're statistically the most likely to have been visited. I found a list of English stadia by capacity, and added the Welsh and Scottish ones I knew of - don't know how I missed off Ibrox, and I've just realised I should have included Casement Park (32,500).

begsy May 12th, 2009, 08:09 AM Sorry couldn't be bothered to write them all down, but I've been to about 80-100 stadiums.
Ecological May 12th, 2009, 11:46 AM I would love to do all the national stadiums. Hampden Park is one I still havent been too. I have no need yet but its definately on the agenda.
I've been to a few on that list, but im missing a few premiership ones as obviously, Wolves aren't that lucky to have played there very often.

Where's casement park by the way?
Republica May 14th, 2009, 01:30 PM 12 on that list.
Any manymore not on it.
Republica May 14th, 2009, 01:32 PM interesting how the milenieneiium stadium is the most visited one.
Welshlad May 14th, 2009, 05:30 PM Not really surprising though, the amount of events its had since opening is pretty lengthy attracing 100s of thousands from across the UK/world, compared to club grounds where you get the same people going week in week out, even if its OT at 76000 or wot ever, the vast proportion are going to be from manchester.
