The building is also known as 570 Lexington Avenue and as the General Electric Building.
Description:
Capped with a crown of spires, this Art Deco skyscraper is decorated with diagonal and zigzag designs that evoke associations with electricity.
Don't you think it's ironic that the design evokes associatons with electricity and is also known as the General Electric Building?

Love how the zany elctricity motif reinforces the corporate image (hmmm,,,this would be a good thread - corporate buildings whose architecture reflects the clients' corporate images...)
