Hey all,
this is my first photo thread, I recently inherited a Pentax K1000 fully manual SLR from the mid '80s and wanted to show off some of the results!

I shot these pictures around CNY, hence the decoration in Chinatown.

Apologies for the quality of a couple of the first shots, they were scanned at a lower quality by the photo shop.

IR construction on Sentosa, one assumes that after it's built you won't be able to see the merlion from HarbourFront/VivoCity any more

Very vibrant shots. The quality of the pics feel so real, like as if you're right there.

That old Johor Rail bridge, is that taken from a park connector? What river is that? Looks very scenic.

The photo was taken from the bridge that can be seen in the second photo of the river with the HDB's lining it, though it's more a canal than anything. I think I've seen the name of it being Sungei Ulu or something like that, it's in Clementi

Should be Sungei Ulu Pandan then. It looks better than the typical concrete-walled canals with it's natural sloping covered in grass. Have not tried using that park connector but seen it when passing along Clementi Road. It looks like a very nice and green trail.

Some colorful views :)
Film cameras have got some 'feel' to them when it comes to colors.

Digicam makers would sure be better off concentrating on that rather than always cramming more pixels per square inch!
Great pics, Pansori, not so used to see film pics anymore and it does give a special touch :-)

Don't you mean me? :P

I love film because it has a timelessness about it, when I look at some of those photos I can imagine they've been taken in the 90's, while that last one of Holland Village Shopping Centre could've even been taken in the 80's

Some background info on the rail bridge and Johor rail line I stumbled upon by accident even though I've been looking for it for years!

Thanks Greatfox, have come across that first blog several times when looking for info on old buildings, its a great blog!

@eyetoeye, yup believe the canal passes Sunset Way, and it looks lovely.

I also believe that my first photo of the work on Sentosa is where the old ferry terminal was, or close by, seeing as it's no longer there any more. I remember when I first went to Sentosa and did the entire 60 minute, non-airconditioned monorail ride, not fun
