Hello!
I would like to know what an architect uses to wear in a job interview here in the UK.
I mean... is it necessary to wear a suit, a tie? In Spain, for example, an architect doesn't use to wear a tie.
Thank you!

i would say suit and tie.
whenever i see an architect with their clients that's what they wear, so i presume the same for a job interview.

Thank you Comdot! That's good to know.
In Spain, for example, as an architect I only wear suit and tie when I have a meeting with the council but never when I go to work or to an interview. However, an spanish engineer always wears suit in an interview.

Except for the glasses... that is the way I use to wear!!!
So... it is not necessary a tie, is it?
Thank you!

I agree - skip the tie. Suit and a smart shirt would be appropriate. You'll probably spend much of your office life in jeans and t-shirt as an architect, but an interview is an interview after all.
For extra points, skip the collar and wear a mandarin collar shirt :)
There's a general rule of thumb I use in meetings in that anyone that isn't the client but is wearing a tie, can't be trusted! It works surprisingly well. :D
