June 29, 2009 - Today, Pasha Construction is starting the erection of the first overground floor of Port Baku main tower. So from this time the works go according to the plan 1 week - 1 floor :banana:

it is very impressive what is happening in baku right now. not only the amount of construction but also the quality of the designs is outstanding (most of it anyway).

Nice looking buildings, I hope they finish them off to a high standard, most of the new buildings I've seen in Baku look great from a distance but once you get inside you can see how poorly they are finished, it's little things like the terrible tiling, bad plumbing, poor quality detailing, cheap and poor quality lighting.

A few years ago if I had to imagine Baku, I had thought of an ugly, cold, polluted and unknown city in a distant exUSSR republic. Now I see a nice city, with many urban projects, new and modern buildings and good walks and parks. Congratulation Baku :)

Baku was never cold or ugly city even if it was in the USSR, i will say it was one of beautiful cities in ex USSR.

These buildings remind me of some I have seen in London the design is almost the same

It is a visual illusion. In reality Zqan Tower is 1 km away from Port Baku.

yes I like it too

i wouldn't mind if that kind of tower was built in the city of london,

but it's height needs to be much taller (180m at least) in order to be visible among other tall buildings :)
