their are many more lakes around abuja. but this one is wwaaayyy bigger than jabi lake or any other lake by abuja.

The lake is really Picturesque..... The color of the water is soo beautiful :)

Lower Usuma is the 5th Largest dam in the World and is on the Usuma river in Nigeria. It was built in 1990 near Abuja, the new capital of Nigeria, and supplied the city with drinking water. The dam holds 93 million cubic meters of raw water, the water flow to five water plants, where the water is treated before it is passed to Abuja. The total capacity of the water is 10,000 cubic meters per hour.

^^ I read something about it on national dailys two weeks ago, where the Power minister was saying it was going to be completed in 2014, and then the foreign company in charge said, given the magnitude of the work Involved,it wasn't going to be complete, till 2015 or later.
