В Батумском бульваре планируется установить статую одного из его основателей, французского садовника Михаила Дальфонса.

Компания "Батумский бульвар" уже объявила конкурс на закупку лучшего эскиза статуи и проектно-финансовой документации. Конкурсные предложения принимаются до 23 апреля.

Статуя садовника будет размещена за кафе "Тауэр I" у гостиницы "Интурист Палас". Конкурсная премия составляет 5 тысяч лари.

საქართველოში „ჰილტონის“ სასტუმროს სამშენებლო–სარეკონსტრუქციო სამუშაოებისთვის კომპანია ხვალ დაგეგმილი ტენდერის საფუძველზე შეირჩევა.

ბიზნესმენი დავით კოდუა, რომელიც სასტუმროების მსოფლიო ბრენდის ოფიციალური წარმომადგენელია, „კომერსანტთან“ საუბარში აცხადებს, რომ პროექტისთვის 8–დან 10 მილიონ დოლარამდე ღირებულების საკრედიტო ხაზი დამტკიცებულია.

მისივე თქმით, 2013 წლის ბოლოსთვის სასტუმრო „საქართველოს“ ბაზაზე „ჰილტონის“ 120 ნომრიანი სასტუმრო გაიხსნება, ხოლო სასტუმროს ახალი ფლიგელის მშენებლობა, სადაც კიდევ 80 ნომერი უნდა განთავსდეს, 2014 წლისთვის დასრულდება.

დავით კოდუას „ჰილტონის“ 22 წლიანი ლიცენზია აქვს. თუმცა, ბიზნესმენი წარმატების შემთხვევაში კონტრაქტის გახანგრძლივებას არ გამორიცხავს.

American Billionaire Donald Trump arrived in Tbilisi today. The billionaire intends to make the first multi-million investments in Georgia and carry out the large-scale project, which implies construction of the highest building in Batumi, the Black Sea town of Georgia. He has been holding meetings in Tbilisi all day long.
Donald Trump was met in Tbilisi International airport by Georgia`s Economy Minister and representatives of the Silk Road Group Company at 12 a.m. today.
During his meetings, the billionaire stressed that he arrived in Georgia on his own initiative. He said the main goal of his visit is to carry out large-scale projects in teh country and plan future cooperations.
Georgia is the only country, in which Donald Trump decided to make a USD 250-million investment. The businessperson is expected to fund construction of Trump Tower in Batumi. The project was signed by Donald Trump and the head of teh Silk Road Group in New York in March 2011. President Saakashvili also attended the signing ceremony. Mr. Trump said he arrived at the decision due to the reforms that have been carried out in Georgia and due to his personal relations with Mikheil Saakashvili.
The Trump Tower is planned to be constructed in the center of Batumi. The 50-storey building will comprise dwelling apartments, penthouses. In the vicinity of the tower cafes, bars, yacht-clubs will be constructed.

Trump Tower in Georgia`s Black Sea town Batumi is planned to be constructed in the Square of Wonders, where the international brands like Kempinski and Radisson are located.
Presentation of the 250-million project was held today. The agreement on constructing the 47-storey building was signed by Donald Trump and Mikheil Saakashvili in New York about a year ago. Silk Road Group Company is carrying out the project in Georgia.
President Saakashvili and Donald Trump also attended the presentation of the Trump Tower project in the Square of Wonders in Batumi today.
The 47-storey building will comprise dwelling apartments with views on the Black Sea, penthouses. In the vicinity of the tower cafes, bars, yacht-clubs will be constructed.

Designing of new Batumi port to be completed in September.


Batumi will build a new naval port in 2013. The design of the new port will be completed by Royal Carribean in September, Business Georgia reports.

Construction is to start in October this year. The port will have extended mooring for larger ships. The government of Adjara has not given details on investments in the port, because Royal Caribbean has not concluded deepening of the port.

The old part of the port will be reconstructed and will continue operating for Black Sea vessels.

Royal Carribean International is the second largest cruising company after Carnival Cruise Lines. The company controls 25% of the cruise market. It is headquartered in Miami and exploited 42 ships in 2011.

So this will be apart of the trump jacht club.

I don't know what to think about this Stadium this is not a football stadium, and I don't see any reason to build a olympic stadium in Batumi first I don't see them getting Olympic games in the near future, but even if they did 30.000 is still to small.
As for football it is of less worth because in this stadium the home team Dinamo Batumi / Georgian NT looses allmost al its home advantages.

Batumi needs a stadium like that.. although it will be a home stadium of Dinamo batumi.. it also will serve Georgian national football team and also rugby team and will be a nice location for holding any international matches like final of the uefa europa cup or if Georgia host any international competitions this stadium will be an opportunity..

Government plans to create ‘Financial Zone’ in Adjara

President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili came to Adjara with the goal of establishing a special financial zone. The president also plans on adopting legislation that would create a liberal financial system in Gonio, which is located on the Black Sea coast of Adjara, 15 km to the south of Batumi. In this zone, it is expected that they will erect 40, 50 and 60 story buildings.

Beyond Gonio there will be a huge financial zone with separate laws and full freedom of financial transactions, Saakashvili said at a meeting with a group of students from a local university in Batumi on May 4.

According to Saakashvili, the special ‘financial zone’ will create a huge industry for Batumi, Adjara and for the rest of Georgia. “I think it will take ten more years to put this zone in full operation; you will soon see buildings, and offices will spread like mushrooms there,” Saakashvili noted.

The president emphasized that the legislation is being formed now and would be implemented by the end of this year.

Before the August 2008 War, the creation of an autonomous financial center was part of the Georgian government’s plan. The original idea belonged to former Prime Minister Lado Gurgenidze.

“At the time, the government’s five-year program for 2008-2012 included a provision according to which was the setting-up of a financial center with a liberal financial system. At the time the government was expecting the center would have attracted $12 billion in investment and created 10,000 new jobs,” Saakashvili said.

Interesting project, any info in english? who is building, when will it be built? where exactly is it going to be built? and so on..

Sorry that's all I could find, it seems to be a project by the Turkish company Meron Yapi but I couldn't find any information about them.

President of Georgia opened a new five-star hotel President Plaza in Batumi today. Mikheil Saakashvili viewed the new hotel together with his wife Sandra Roelofs and talked with the personnel of the hotel.
Mikheil Saakashvili spoke about the tourism potential of Batumi and similar projects, which are underway in the seaside city. President said more and more local residents of the city get jobs at those projects and the process is eventually reducing the problem of unemployment.
A new 35-room hotel with several luxes and one presidential apartment will begin receiving visitors today. President Plaza was constructed with 14 million GEL of private investment. The hotel has staff of 60 persons.

So finally we know it!
The university will be the 200 meter high building whit the big watch, what we knew as the bussines center.
And the 200 meter building will just be the administration and a hotel for the foreign teachers. The main study building and the campus will be on the mainfloor.
So now everywhone who said that this building was to high to be an university has his answer.

По данным компании, строительство «Trump Tower» войдет в активную фазу в середине 2013 года. Проект батумского«Trump Tower» принадлежит известному архитектору Джону Фотиадису.

В 47-этажном здании будут размещены квартиры площадью от 80 до 700 квадратных метров с видом на море. Между компанией американского миллиардера Дональда Трампа и «Silk Road Group» было оформлено соглашение о сотрудничестве в марте 2011 года в рамках визита в США президента Грузии Михаила Саакашвили.

Construction of another culture center will be completed in Georgia`s Black Sea town of Batumi soon. The town will be able to enjoy a summer theatre since August this year.
The ferro-concrete timber-faced construction with seating capacity of 1000 people is expected to host high-level concerts and international festivals.
Gel 7 million will be spent on construction of the new theatre.
President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvii inspected the construction process today.
