Ras Siyan June 20th, 2009, 01:49 PM Sounds interesting, it only says "dans les tout prochain jours", did they declare when they will start?
It's good, a project on this scale will not only provide descent homes for the people, it will also provide millions of jobs, demand for the material providing industries (ex: cement factories), contribute to the GDP ect...
BUTEMBO21 June 20th, 2009, 04:32 PM When will they start?
No Specific date yet. But they have been talking about for 1 year , now.
But my assumptions are , Most likely early 2011. Because they are waiting for Construction of more cement factories, Construction of interprovincial highways . Roads are already being built.

Snoopy-1 June 23rd, 2009, 11:54 PM Hello everyone.
Well done Congo...I perosnally prefer the building of housing projects than to the high rise buildings. Seeing consistantly modern houses in their cities really shows organization, and puts the country in a good image. I think all countries should do this.

Social housing is actually one of the building blocs of a successful and emergent developing economy, one may consider it as the correct route towards a thriving industrialized market- economy along with the simultaneous development of health and education.

First of all Welcome to Skyscarpercity Africa, and skyscrapercity.
I understand your concern. But what i i'm concern about is that millions of people will get decent housing , clean water and Electricity.
However. I would ike to see Congolese build the Houses, but i still don't care if the Chinese do it.
Congolese are business minded people. I know that it's Congolese theselves who will make theselves wealthy, and grow the economy.
MBA-Congo June 27th, 2009, 02:00 AM they showed the video of the korean and chinese firm proposed housing project last year on rtnc, that's how I learned of the River City project. THey are decent homes.
