This high-rise was originally anchored by First Union Nat'l Bank, which recently merged with Wachovia Bank. This building exemplifies Jacksonville's odd tendancy to use an office tower as an enormous billboard :soapbox:

First Union had it's up-top moniker on all four sides too. They were lit up at night in green. The top looks to me like it was designed to showcase the anchor tenant's emblem/signage!!

This is building as billboard :hm:

The pictures posted here make the building look better than in person, hard to believe :shocked: In person it looks cheap, tacky and silly

I rate this urban scar a 1 or less.
