De obligate tank en het eindpaaltje van de Voie de la Liberté. Om de km staat er zo eentje op de 1400 km tussen Bastogne en Ste Mere Église bij de landingstranden in Normandië.

La Roche-en-Ardenne:

Vooral bekend om zijn massieve burcht. De stad zelf werd zowat met de grond gelijk gemaakt maar werd opnieuw opgetrokken op een best charmante wijze.

Bedankt voor deze reeksjes! La Roche ken(de) ik goed, ik kwam er tot over een paar jaar geleden regelmatig! Goeie salami's verkopen ze daar :)

Je vraagt je af hoe beide stadjes er voor de oorlog uitgezien moeten hebben. Bastenaken vond ik alleszins de moeite niet.

Mja, tenzij je zeer geïnteresseerd bent in WO2 zou ik het niet speciaal aanraden om naar daar te rijden. Maar om er eens een korte tussenstop te maken viel het nog mee.

La Roche daarentegen lijkt me wel één van de aangenamere toeristenstadjes te zijn daar in de omgeving.
