View Full Version : realistics cities
Woko February 28th, 2004, 02:36 PM Here, you could put photographs of your most realistic cities.
A cities where the zone is not all high density, only around the downtown. A city where there are many parks, etc.
Do not put only large cities, if it is a small city, like a town of countryside, but realistic, put there too. :)
Meffy February 28th, 2004, 11:06 PM I have a few small farm towns and suburbs that are realistic. Whenever I try to make a realistic big city I always go over board :bash: I'm working on that but the big "realistic" city isn't done yet to where I would want to show it but you just gave me motivation to finish it.
Here are two small farm towns, I used to live in a small town in the middle of no where and followed the path of a downtown with commercial and services and a small group of medium residential buildings surrounded by houses and farms.

and lastly a sprawl suburb with a small downtown core, anyone that lived in sprawl knows that this is fairly realistic :D

Style™ February 29th, 2004, 12:41 AM Dang! That is real! Small towns with not too many large towers looks just as good as a super city with tons of them.
queetz February 29th, 2004, 05:43 AM WOW! Your Smallville is fantastic. Great job! I like how you were able to have the high tech firms near the farms. Kinda reminds me of Langley, BC, where by coincidence, the TV show Smallville is also filmed. :okay:
Woko March 2nd, 2004, 01:51 PM Congratulation Meffy, it is exactly what I wanted. :)
But the cities can be larger too.
London™ March 2nd, 2004, 10:37 PM Here's a pic of my 8th largest city (the largest in the GTA region, of course), TORONTO!!!

It is the Turning Torso :D I placed it instead of the First Canadian Plaza.
LSyd March 10th, 2004, 05:25 PM here's one of the suburbs of my largest city, MEga City.
it's realistic because it looks like a small Chinese city. look at all the Commie blocks, repetitive architecture, open squares and wide avenues.
its population's about 100,000 (I think.) it wasn't planned like this, it just kinda of started to grow Commie blocks so I went with it from there.
there's also a few industrial islands not in the picture.
