Hello, my old 5 meg Canon camera gave up the ghost last week, so I'm going to buy another one tomorrow.

My budget is limited and I want to get one of the following cameras at 69.99 each from Argos and wondered what people would recommend from the two. When I'm in Blackpool I want to do some night time shots of the illuminations so one of the two that would be good at night would be the winner.

The first is:

Olympus X-42 12MP Camera (£69.99):

www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5593000/Trail/searchtext>OLYMPUS+X+42.htm

The second is:

Fujifilm A180 10MP Camera (£69.99):

www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001801&langId=-1&searchTerms=5592324&Submit=GO+>

If people could have a look and give me their recommendations that would be great.

Thanks once again Medo, I went with the 10 Meg camera that you suggested and have just got it back home and it's brilliant, thank you very much for your excellent advice as ever.

I'll see you again in two years for some more camera advice :)

Hiya, i was also wondering which of these camera's to choose. I am going to Sonisphere festival and will be about 50 metres away from the stage. The Olympus X-42 has 5x zoom and 12mp, surely this would be the better choice?
DSLR's are frowned upon at festivals so i want to buy a cheap digital!
