Howdy folks,toyota74 here and am starting a new photo thread
on the west of ireland...mainly of buildings old and new ,ancient
and modern.Imfrom west clare so my zone will be clare,limerick,
galway etc,..im usally in the 3d designs section here but i
bought a nikon d70 recently so im giving google sketchup a
break.Ill try to stick to buildings but there will be landscapes thrown
in.....the will be from stone walls to pica of riverpoint etc..
bridge in spanish point..
i only got the camera last week and i have a lot of pics
to come...limerick city,shannon,cliffs of moher(in boat)

^^cheers ,its a pity i didnt have a camera as we used to paint for sisk
and brian o conell in limerick,shannon,ennis in the last few years.I know
all the new developements around and of course all the abandoned
ones which make good pics.:)

i love this house/castle in spanish point.Dont know whats it history..
natural wave barrier in spanish point on a summers day,come the winter
and high tides the sea will be like a mountain cant wait...

yep and surprisingly people regularly fall off.
this is not wise as there's trouble waiting for fallers at the bottom.

^^well you cant go near the edge near the viewing platforms but if you pass the danger signs warning you not to go any futher you can go as close to the edge as you want,as for people falling off im afraid it was their own choice...
they are jumpers probaly 90%,maybe one or two a year...eg. one woman lay
down on the grassy edge and rolled off...sad but true!!

Whew, some of the shots have given me creeps! Good shots Spider!
And I liked the way the visitor's center just blended into the landscape.. You've given me a spark for a trip down west spider. :)

A couple of photos from a holiday this year in the west of Ireland.
Spectacular barren beauty
...and the abandonded village on Achill.
..and finally to something different, the old railway bridge in Newport which dominates this small town. Now used as a pedestrian bridge.
