It was on August 10, 2004 that we got our own Indian section due to the hard work of Suncity, Jai, Hindustani, Kshatriya, Theguy and many more!

SSCi has come a long way since then. We're now a community of 250+ regular members. For n00bs, this is how SSCIndia used to look like back in the day -

It has evolved a lot from being one among a whole herd of links to a fully fledged sub-forum. We are all proud of it.

Its been nearly 5 years since I first stumbled upon SSC while searching for some Trivandrum apartments. I just remembered the name Suncity and the next time I searched Google for 'suncity' and reached somewhere else. :lol::lol:

I became a registered member a couple of years back and SSC has been quiet an addiction; part of my life to be honest. Im grateful to all the members and moderators who've worked really hard to keep this place chic.

So HAPPY B'DAY SSC-I :)

I have joined SSC in the year, Dec 2006, and i got the link while i was searching for some calicut photos, i was astonished to see some of those here, during those days calicut pictures were a rarity in the net, the first name i noticed in ssc India was offcourse of sudeeshnairs, those days, i thought that he was a proffesional photographer, later came to know what really he is, when i came to know him personally...and offcourse the next was suncity...the allrounder.....and i would like to thank all my fellow forumers especially scorpiogenious and india101 [ made calicut international ] and all my calicut forumers who has always encouraged me.....

Congratulations to all SSC India members. I remember back in 2005 when I joined there were only 4 sections in SSCi. Usually there used to be lots of bickering with the forumers from neighboring countries in City vs City section. Things have changed a lot since them. I seriously miss Magestorm who used to post really fabulous pictures and was the envy of our friendly neighborhood members.

I remember City v City from my lurker days...hell, I even remember Country v Country

That was what brought me here first...

Anyway no denouncing the fact that SSC increased my exposure in my industry; real estate, as well as helping me in my career ladder. My previous Director (at Skyline, Trivandrum) was surprised when a Japaneese guy he met said that he knew Sudheesh Nair (through the googled pages). And it gives me pride when my SSC showcase gallery pages turn up first at Google when you search 'Trivandrum photos'. And this is continuing for years.

Thanks to everyone who made this forum such a huge success :)

Though i have been a member of this forum for more than 4 yrs now, i hardly have any posts/pics/info to contribute. But no matter what, i do read all the posts on SSC-I almost daily.

Congrats once again on the birthday and a big thanks to each and every contributor on this forum who takes time off their busy schedules to collate and share information for all of us.

Congrats. I wasn't here when the forum was formed, but joined soon afterwards (in late 2004). The forum has truly come a long way since then. Thanks to all the contributors and to the moderators for making this the best forum for Indian infrastructure on the web.

Why does'nt China have its own forum, it has some of the world's best projects. Is there some restriction there??

I ranked these by the amount of posts within the forum :)

And China does have a forum, it is inside the Asian forum. It is small, that's why it isn't on the main page.

That is what I was thinking, why is it so small...they have 1.4 billion people and not enough forumers to warrant a front page presence...:dunno:

That is because the Chinese 90 percent of them do not use English forums , that is forums in the English language as they have trouble with the language... If SSC provides Chinese language support then they ll see a huge influx from China....

How I know this is because I studied in Singapore where we had a lot of students from China and they never used english forums or any social stuff with English as the comm. language, atleast most of them...

On 8th birthday,

SSC India is one of the biggest within SSC .

I remember once Jan mentioning that the viewer ship exceeded 10,000 at a time.

Very high quality stuff (except Chai Bar) in all sub forums.

It comes in the first page while one googles for any infra information. I personally know many Govt Babus / Engineers refer to SSC India for information.

So more responsibility is required from us forumers.
