Kings Park is a 4.06-square-kilometre (1,003-acre) park located on the western edge of Perth, Western Australia central business district. The park is a mixture of grassed parkland, botanical gardens and natural bushland on Mount Eliza.

Besides tourist facilities Kings Park contains the State War Memorial, the Royal Kings Park Tennis club and a reservoir. The streets are tree lined with individual plaques dedicated by family members to Western Australian Service men and women who died in World War I and World War II.

The debt Singaporeans owe to their 149-year-old botanical gardens is as much economic as ecological. In 1888, an eccentric but zealous horticulturist named Nicholas Henry Ridley cut herringbone-shaped channels into the bark of several rubber trees grown from seedlings sent from London. He trapped the sap — and gave birth to the then British colony's rubber industry. Over the next half-century, rubber utterly transformed Singapore, whose sleepy economy had hitherto been dominated by nutmegs and cloves. With the advent of the automobile and its insatiable demand for tires, Singapore boomed.

The city-state hasn't looked back since, but when its citizens feel like a gentle walk, many of them consider the lush 63-hectare confines of the Botanic Gardens to be one of the very best places for it. Modern amenities abound — every tree, shrub and herb is now meticulously labeled, for example, and the eco-friendly open-air bathrooms are immaculate, thanks to the exertions of its 90-member staff and a generous $5.8 million annual budget. But somehow the mysterious power of the rainforest still hangs heavy in the humid air. For the roughly three million visitors who stream through the gardens annually, slipping through one of its 10 gates is like slipping into a wilder past. More than any anodyne museum or tome-filled library, the majestic banyans, blood-hearted palms and riotously flowering frangipanis are a reminder of what Singapore once was.

In Bratislava there are two parks, which can be considered as a central parks

The first one is Janko Kráľ orchard, the oldest public park in Europe. It is on the place of former wood and now is a popular place between all Bratislavians

This park is a huge hilling area, its a result of the disassemble of Santo Antônio Hill and Castelo Hill, and the park construction had been finished in 1965. The park is a project of Roberto Burle Marx, a famous paisagist, the same that projected copacabana's world-famous sidewalks.

This park is the largest leisure area in Rio, and one of the most frequented. It has soccer fields, tennis courts, it holds the MAM (Modern Art Museum), a Theater (Vivo Rio), a memorial to the WW2 Dead Soldiers, a marine and a lot of green áreas. The park has 120 hectares. It has a large beach area, which is inapropriate for swimming because Guanabara's Bay water is very polluted. The park has a large road (Av. Infante Dom Henrique), which is one of the main connections between the South Zone and the Downtown of Rio de Janeiro. Great part of the buildings in the park had been projected by Affonso Eduardo Reidy, a brazilian modernist architect.

This park is mostly used by people who live in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro, specially the neighborhoods of Flamengo, Glória, Catete and Botafogo.

I have to say that I don't like Manhattan's Central Park much.

It has a strange feeling of being artificial. While that's true for human-created parks in general, CP has some Disneyish amusement park touch to it that I don't like.

It especially sucked that they've thrown people out the park after sun dropped.
