Indeed

I think it was designed by the architect, John Portman. I cant think of any other hotel atrium as grand as this in Singapore..maybe the Pan Pacific....

I suppose the Parkview Square's isn't really considered an atrium?

Nice meh? Cant recall anything dramatic about it other than its sensational name of the 'Glass Hotel' when it first opened.

Oh, it is scary... very scary in fact...

My aunt got us a room on one of the upper floors to watch the Esplanade opening ceramonies a while ago. The ride up on the lift was enough to scare us witless. Staring down along the corridors from such a great height was apparantly too much for my aunt to bare. She flung herself against the wall away from the barriers so she wouldn't have to look down... It's so vast and grand you can't help but feel intimidated....

Isn't that from Neil Humphrey's book? ;)

Anyway, when i was in Japan last year my brother and i took the lift to every single floor. There were these vending machines installed at every floor, see, and each sold a different thing(like ice-cream, hot food, cigerettes, tissue, disposable underwear...) and we wanted to check out which storey was selling what. The lobby got lots of complaints for that.. hehehe
