This is one of the most beautiful Mosque in Bangladesh, Amazing architecture and design. A sure place to visit.

^^ Historic mosques in BD look very different :) If you familiarise yourself with various styles of architecture, then it is very easy tell new buildings from old ones.

Farhana, a question for you...in this forum, we know this building by a different name..."Baitul Aman Masjid" (as opposed to "Gutia Jame Masjid"). Do you know if one name is offiicial and the other a nickname?

^^ Ah I see. AFAIK most mosques from the sultanate period used terracota designs blended with Islamic architecture.

I was browsing the site www.panoramabangladesh.com (http://www.panoramabangladesh.com) there they Called it Gutia Masjid!!! I dont have any Idea!! you can ask the www.panoramabangladesh.com in there picture comment section, probably they will help you. Because there team went their for photography may be they have the right information.
