I want to print about 50 of my best photos at 9 x 6 and one or two of them at 6 x 6, possibly with a boarder, but I don't want the contrast, saturation or anything played about with, they need to be printed true to how I've processed them. Can anyone recommend somewhere good, either online or on the high street? I was thinking about Jessops but I've heard that they're fairly average. Thank you.

i used jessops a few years ago, i would definitely send some pics to them so you can at least see their quality. it's a doddle and i think it's fairly cheap.

what i did was upload my photos to them and they posted me back some prints. i'm not sure if my images got compressed, it was years ago, but they had to be uploaded in jpeg, i don't know the compression they ended up as. things may have changed, be good to upload some tiffs if they let you.

also printed off a calendar from jessops with my pics once.

let me know how your pics come out, i'd be interested.

Any mini lab machines as used by Photobox, Jesspos et al will not do the job. I have used FotoInsight to print my photos (http://fotoinsight.co.uk/). If you order 6" format they print to the format you order (e.g. 9x6, 6x6 or anthing in between). But it is important to turn of their consumer oriented "Automatic Image Optimization), otherwise your pics will be played with...
