I would like to see how you have solved the huge traffic problems the large cities causes. I would specially like to see photos of places in your big cities where you have both roads, rail, monorail etc. all in one large mix.

Here's some from my largest city, westside (which has a population of about 1.1 million right now), that should give you an idea of what I'm looking for:

Found it on www.simtropolis.com . I think it's supposed to be the main rail station in Amsterdam:)

WOW!!! Your junctions are amazing! And I didn't realize how awesome looking that Amsterdam train station is when used properly! I noticed you are also using Lord Quillan's El Train stations. I got a few superbusy junctions here and there and will take pics and upload later. Great job! :okay:

Thanx queetz, looking forward to your pics:okay:

I really love those el. train stations, I wish someone would make something like it for the monorail. All these custon buildings really make the game a lot cooler:cool:

looks messy...and cool!

I really love that interstate turning into an avenue...reminds me how the Interstates kind of end when you get to downtown Columbia, South Carolina, my home.

although it'd probably improve your traffic some if you made the avenue an overpass of the ground rail.

I'm not sure I know what you mean:? Can you explain it a bit more?

All tips that can help me improve my traffic is greatly appriciated:)

where the avenue has the ground rail going over it...if you can get it spaced out so you can put in some elevated highway and run the rail under it, you can have the avenue connect to the elevated highway, making for a rail overpass.

in that area it'd require some "re-arranging" of the rail line and buildings, but if traffic's bad in that spot, it's probably worth it (plus it looks more realistic/cool/etc...)

Oh, so you more or less want me to replace the avenue with a highway. I guess I could do that and it would probably reduce the traffic too but I'm not sure I want to go there. I actually used to have highways where you see avenues now, but I really didn't like that. The city was kind of divided in a number of large "boxes"all surrounded by highways. Now the city feel a lot more "city like".

I wish there was an easier way to make the underground highways.

no; it's just the part of the avenue that goes over the surface railroad that should be replaced for there to be an overpass. it'll probably improve traffic in that area, on the avenue, and it'll look cool; the rest of the road will be an avenue.

those sunken/tunnel highways and raillines are awesome.

basically you make a small depression where you want the ramps to be, and then build ground highway/rail through so it tunnels.

i've tried it but haven't gotten it to quite work yet. next city/region i build from scratch though...

Oh now I get it. Maybe I'll try that out with the small highway:)

I know how to make those underground tunnels, and have a few of them. But when it comes to implanting them into a very dense area I'm no good.

my biggest problem with the tunnels is the landscaping tool...it's just not as precise as SC3000.

^^ I know! That's what I love about Simcity 4 Rush Hour is you get to see these cool car crashes from time to time. It was just a coincidence that there was a crash and I took the pic.

Here is another cool train pic. This time on my adjacent suburb and as you can see, both the EL Train and the Monorails are experiencing a backlog. The Bombardier Talent train can also be seen.

that's far out-looking man...do each of those lines go somewhere else? how's that working in the game?

and is that an avenue turning into a highway in the upper middle?

later this afternoon I'll put up some pics of intersections.

yes, I have subway and elevated ones so I can handdle the traffic, actually that's the corner of the city, so the people can get untill the rail station that makes the connection with neighbor city that has thousands of industrial jobs. I just have that point with lots of jam.

Yes, that avenue turns into a highway and then goes to the neighbor city (industrial one)

I'll try to put new pics.
