Alabastern is approved by the city council in Växjö who want to build a 16st landmark building at the location. The only problem is that the builder is Växjöhem and they have never built higher than 9st even on locations approved for much higher buildings. Yes i know! it's weird but truth any way...:bash:

Fixed the title like moveteam suggested. Good for Växjö to get some taller buildings, even though it looks like a common, white ny-funkis building in the pdf.

Btw - what happened to the tower that was proposed to replace the water tower at Solberget(?)

Does look like a somewhat updated Miljonprogram-tower tho.

Is this the same project?
Or is this another proposal for a highrise in Växjö, that unfortunately look a bit too much in the same style as Alabastern?

I know that the sketch for Alabastern was early but is this where it all might be heading?

It goes under the name Videum Ikon, so it might be some other proposal, there is no information about it on the site other than that it is ongoing.

Boscorelli.. it is not the same project as Alabastern. Videum Icon are going to be built close to Växjö universitet.

There is a render in SMP of Alabastern, nothing special but better than many other crapy proposals in Växjö...link below!!

Thanks for the picture K-J N :cheers: There is more about the project on arkitektbolaget.se . Arkitektbolaget is known for boring proposals but this is not so bad as I thought it would be then I heard they were chosen to draw this building.
