Thught we would share music videos of gospel music from kenya,or music that characterized your praise and worship in your church.

I used to attend Nairobi Lighthouse Church, and i have to say i simply loved that church, the people and all the pastors.

I'll start off with one of my favorite kenyan gospel music track of all time lol

Gospel fathers - Fundi wa Mbao

Y2yJ1PAybKE

and this club banger which everyone was dancing to in the clubs this year.

MOG - Let him Go

cVGyXT5lfj4

And this funny but loaded song which was also a big hit late last year and this year.

Jimmie Gait - Muhadhara

SITA - Knees and Toes.

When you listen to the lyrical flow of this guy,you understand why this song is easily one of the biggest songs of the year.It topped the Capital fm top 9 charts for several weeks. The beats are tight hip hop.

juliani - biceps

I think its the corrupted version of "fully fully" (Kikuyu accent). Taunet nelel resounds with most Kenyans I guess, heck even the first lady danced to it one time.

Were it not for the promulgation ceremonies a year ago i wouldn't have heard of it.Same applies to Eric Wainana's "Daima Mimi Mkenya" a song which,to me, has more appeal than the national anthem.

Thats the price we pay here for staying on other peoples shores. We're off the loop of things kenyan.

Since its been over 13 yrs since i stepped inside a kenyan church,i guess the music that characterises our church experience will be a bit different. One guy's music i like is Kirk Franklin.

Ha,singing in swahili is in vogue. Here's another group performing in Swahili.I think this is the most widely sang song in swahili outside of E.A. though its not of E .African origin. Many churches perform it.

Kirk's music still features in many churches in Kenya. That imagine me song was a huge hit everywhere.
