yes, both terraces are in each side of field behind the posts (I dont know how you say "Arco" "Porteria") in the lower tribune.

The two ends in the new stadium suck. The rows are too narrow to put regular seating in. Also, on the old stadium, half of an upper tier is on the northeast side. Hopefully that can be extended as part of the new stadium.

Yes, of course they are. Would you imagine a match in Argentina with seated sections at both ends...there would be seats on the pitch seconds after the referee does any unwanted call....

AFA rules say that stadiums should be all seaters, I rhink by next year, so they will have to put seats at the ends.

Yeah, actually that rule was installed in 2007, but since the clubs say they don't have enough money to buy seats for all the stadium it's been pushed back. Basically, no one cares and I'm sure it will be pushed bak again next year.

First of all, I think that ther shoud be teracces atleast for the Ultras aka Inchas ,and the rest of the stadium with seats. If peeople want to stand, they will be standing, with or without the seets. So, why put seet when they would bi destroyed !??

PS: You can put seets every two rows if necesery!

I don't like the fences, I believe it ruins the stadium.

Anyway is unreal to think that we can get rid of it in Argentina. This will be one of the best stadiums in this country.

It's a really strange way of building a stadium. Just seems like they turn up each day and pick something random to do for a laugh.

The thing is Independiente has ran out of money to finish the stadium. When the construction started the authorities of the club said they had enough money to build the stadium from the transfer of Agüero. I'm sure they stole a lot of that money and now they can't finish it.
To earn some money, Independiente will play in the next weeks in their stadium even if it is not finished thats why they're putting the seats and fences.

It is quite weird to have the northeast stand of the stadium have half of an upper tier and an almost nonexistant lower tier. And another thing, construction of this stadium is taking forever. Independiente needs to get more funding for the stadium reconstruction or end up playing in an unfinished stadium

That stand is the only one which wasn't demolished and remains from the old stadium. they won't open it to the public yet. They will complete the upper tier, but since it is built in the traditional way (not mounting the concrete pieces) it will take a lot of time to be finished.

If this stadium gets the roof it`ll be one of the best stadiums in south America and probably the best one in Argentina.

The only thing I don't like about the stadium is that most of the seats are not folded seats. Except for that, everything is perfect.

Hi Carrera.

They were thinking about putting that kind of seats but they were too expensive I supose. Anyway the boxes/palcos has it. Having seats with backrest is a great advance for Argentine stadiums.

Muy lindo estadio, como siempre la aficion lo hace lucir espectacular, creo que hace falta mas remodelaiones de estadios en Argentina, ojala que Independiente sea un parteaguas para esto.

Sorry but i will write in spanich because my english is very poor!

soy fanatico de san lorenzo y puede concurrir la semana anterior al libertadores de america.
las comodidades para los visitantes es deficitaria.. la tribuna se mueve de un lado a otro, no tiene la mejor perspectiva del estadio, etc.
tiene una sola escalera para que se retiren 5000 mil personas juntas, puede pasar una tragedia si llega a pasar un accidente.
un sector del estadio todavia esta en construccion es bastante peligroso..
espero que terminen rapidamente y puedan ofrecer mejores comodidades sobre todo al publico visitante..

PD: AGUANTE SAN LORENZO CARAJO!!!

Has it ever happened that Racing and Independiente have a home game the same day??? I mean being that both stadiums are so close...

Y que pasa si juegan racing e independiente juegan el mismo dia, no hay mucha bronca al salir de los partidos, teniendo en cuenta la proximidad de un estadio al otro?

I understand that the total capacity after redevelopment will be 46,000.

But, of that 46 000- How many actual seats will the redeveloped stadium have?
No, it's still under construction. It's supossed to be finished by the end of this year.
The stadium will have around 24,000 seats and 25,000 capacity in the terraces. The initial capacity has changed because seats were removed from one of the ends, and relocated in the upper tier of the other stand.

They need to finish that tray and begin works on the roof.

Honestly, this all could have been done in July if it was chosen to host a few games for the 2011 Copa America.

They chose stadiums that were unfit for an event like that. Jujuy? Salta?

Give me 8 Venues, here you go.

River Plate Stadium(Possible Roof?)
La Plata Stadium(Complete)
Cordoba Stadium(Complete)
Independiente Stadium(Finished)
Rosario Stadium(With Reforms)
Velez Stadium(With Reforms)
Racing Club Stadium(Complete)
Santa Fe Stadium(Complete)

I do not like the reforms to the stadiums they chose, not the ones I listed above.

First of all, Cordoba, I would have much preferred it if the new tray was exact as to the original on the opposite direction, and just complete the ends to make it a perfect bowl stadium. Jujuy is hardly getting any changes at all, it's a joke of a stadium. Salta is nothing getting a single thing changed, Malvinas is only getting their seats colored. La Plata was the only thing I liked. Santa Fe's changes were good and bad, I loved the addition of the new tray but it would have been 10x better if they did the same on the other side.

The addition of the boxes on the side is a good idea, gives a sense of an Quito kind of stadium, although they only did the edges, why not build the floors up on the main row? They build a new Stadium for this tournament, the Bicentenario, although it's a joke. It's big yes, but nothing special, it isn't even fit with seats! Catamarca is a new stadium that is very modern and actually a bit big, would have easily been a great replacement for Jujuy. That is my rant on the 2011 Copa America.

So what if the stadiums I choose are so close? That saves travel time and money.

I'm no expert on this, but having 2 vomitories/entrances at each tier of such a huge stand must be against guideleines and good practices. I realize these are wide, but they have to cause quite some congestions, right? Unless there are extra exits/entrances at tops of the tiers?

There are emergency exits at the Garganta del Diablo(estructure of the corners) under the first floor of seats, but you're right, maybe it would be better 3 entrances/exits in those tiers, specially at the lower one, because it's bigger than the upper and it's a terrace. Sorry if my english is bad, but i hope i helped you :) .

Update 9/8/11
Unfortunately the stadium won't be finished by this year(because Independiente's economic crisis) but the east stand ''Ricardo Bochini'' and the ''Garganta del Diablo'' N°4 will be opened in October. So, the only part of the stadium that is not under construction is the last Garganta del Diablo N° 3(the one with the LED screen) .

Pero como???!!! yo eh leido de los prestigiosos y sabelotodos opinadores foristas de este foro que "nada podian hacer bien" cuando no habian terminado de pintar la erico de afuera y que iba a quedar asi despareja...y tambien lei que las butacas de las garganta...y tambien de las butacas de la erico alta...y tambien que jamas se iba a completar la cordero alta(bochini) y..........en fin, vean las fotos...igual por como son seguiran viendo cosas aventuradamente.
