Hi guys,I am Libyan architecture study in USA,and I have studio design,my studio subject is design a pavilion in Palermo ,I attached with this topic the study that I did to look in the site,I want your opinion as an Italian architecture and citizen too,first Question what type of pavilion it must be done there(boat club,fashion gallery,culture ,conference...etc any suggest will help because as you know the site actually in Sicily ,Palermo the place is the fish market near by catelo de mare which is a historical castle..the other thing any one has a good information ,images any thing could help me in my project,I will appreciate that so much

Do you have to replace the Fish Market?

actually they give us this chance to remove the old market and do a new pavilion ...

and I am still looking for more information about the site (fish market and castle )and what the opinion about what I have to do as a new building or activity there (keep fish market ,restaurant-boat club..etc

Well, I don't know that site very well, 'cause I'm not from Palermo but I live in another large similar city in Sicily.

Maybe a new fish market, well designed, could be a good solution. If you eliminate it, it must survive somewhere in the same area.

I think the idea of a cool restaurant/boat club is interesting, or maybe a sea-museum or something like it. I don't think a fashion centre would be well located there; it'd be better a conference centre linked to the castle!

Thanks guys...you are really help me a lot..could any one help me with more information about the traffic situation out there .do people get easy to the site crossing the main road or we need like bridge or under ground pass..even more what kind of wind that makes trouble in the site if any one can help me but images of the site with all wind coming around the place,
photos for the old fish market are welcome
I need more photo and if there is any photo even more for the places faced the site..
there is a big opining area front of the fish market crossing the road what is that area..is that area heritage or what I could not tell?

Hi lordofmax , I have never been to Palermo so I cannot help you .
How is it possible that with the great means at disposal of american universities you can ' t find more pictures and infos there , maybe surfing on the web , maybe with googlestreets ?
Anyway if I find something interesting for you I will let you know .
