^ PBCom and rainbow
Wow is that for real? The rainbow almost looks photoshopped. It's a beauty though -- nature juxtaposed with the man-made. :)
KiBeN April 11th, 2006, 04:42 PM Thanks for the new pics sugbuanon!!! I really like the last pic where the Shang Grand Tower looks really grand... @ francis 20, I love the pic of Shang, tulad ng sabi ko dati, I like buildings that has light effects on top... Everyday bang nag-lalight yung top niya?
Francis20 April 11th, 2006, 05:03 PM yep. every night na nag lilight up. di ko pa na obserbahan kung what time naglilight up and light off. Pag napapaikli ang duration...ibig sabihin siguro they are saving power.
hehe. may fran cis nga sa t.e. (kaw ba yun?) :D
thanks to you din and everyone at t.e., especially those posting skyscraper photos, inaabangan ko yun lagi..
your shang grand tower photos are great. i wish they'd light up the windows too..hehe
ako nga yun...
eto yung isang album ko sa Pbase. taken during a sunday yung karamihan sa day photos. yung night naman ay digital ni ate mhe-ann. don't mind the composition and technicalities. i was very new to photography nun. at bago sa makati...muntik pa akong mahuli...
here's the first album (http://pbase.com/alchemist8122)
most of which were taken using a 28 mm Canon
then i tried night and afternoon shots...praktis pa rin.
here's the link (http://www.pbase.com/francis20/metro_manila)
Francis20 April 11th, 2006, 05:13 PM Kiben, this has been posted before. but since you are amazed with lighted structures...i'm reposting my photos...para sayo :D matagal nang nakuhanan tong mga to. mostly using Canon AE1 50 mm
Enterprise Towers (some forumers have more awesome skyline shots with Enterprise in it :) )

Francis20 April 11th, 2006, 06:00 PM you're welcome! sabi nila yung rooftop daw ng PBCom is a smoking area. di naman ako nag iismoke. mapuntahan kaya minsan? tas dala ng cam!
Francis20 April 11th, 2006, 06:29 PM sabi ng emporis...for the machines ata and telecommunication equipments. note tho that there were articles na nagsasabi na this is a cellphone shaped tower, kasi nga bank of communications. :D hehe...so siguro they have to add that structure to make it look like one...interesting, eh?
KiBeN April 11th, 2006, 06:40 PM emporis... yun yung site na na-discover ko bago ang SSC, since ang tagal-tagal ng updates nila, at yung iba mali-mali, so medyo nainis na ako at nahanap ko toh, sariling updates natin pwede ipost dito... hahaha.
It is really interesting na may shape yung buildings, a building that has a design of Banawe Rice Terreces >> looks awesome, I can imagine it! Ipost ko ngah dito some time pag-ayus na ang scanner namin, I drew that design mga 3 years ago ata... hahaha :)

KiBeN April 12th, 2006, 05:07 AM thanks for the pics! sinjin... I really like the interior of SM Makati, para sa akin, ang SM Makati ang pinakamagandang SM, bago yung SM MOA...
ThisFire April 12th, 2006, 06:06 AM Beautiful pictures sinjin. I've been going to the Ayala Center zone incl. SM Makati and it's amazing what they've done to SM Makati, it was so different before.
KiBeN April 12th, 2006, 07:14 AM ^^ yup, SM Makati really looks awesome, before, di siya masyadong napapansin. This mall really looks like an airport. :)
JAMAICUS April 12th, 2006, 07:17 AM I have been to Greenbelt 3 and 4 but what is it like in greenbelt 1 and 2? Can anybody post pics composing all of the greenbelts?
rockwell baller April 12th, 2006, 07:23 AM :eek2:ganda ng pics sinjin!!! akalain mo may ganyan sa bansa natin!! nice office views of ayala avenue! if that's my view then i will be really in the mood to work!
diz April 12th, 2006, 07:25 AM ang ganda ng ayala ave.
KiBeN April 12th, 2006, 07:30 AM I have been to Greenbelt 3 and 4 but what is it like in greenbelt 1 and 2? Can anybody post pics composing all of the greenbelts?
I've been there, it's not that interesting, maliit lang yung ceiling, need some renovation pa, pero ewan ko lang ngayun, sa tagal na panahon na di ako pumupunta ng makati... :)

JAMAICUS April 12th, 2006, 09:35 AM Can the skyway still lengthen itself?
ryanr April 12th, 2006, 09:38 AM ^^ Yes, of course. We just need a lot of patience. Pangilinan's group handles it now.
JAMAICUS April 12th, 2006, 09:39 AM ^^ Where does it end by the way? I know it but can't put my finger on it.
ryanr April 12th, 2006, 09:41 AM ^^ Where does it end by the way? I know it but can't put my finger on it.
Buendia to Bicutan
KiBeN April 12th, 2006, 09:41 AM ^^ Where does it end by the way? I know it but can't put my finger on it.
sa south, Bicutan, sa north, buendia? em i right?
JAMAICUS April 12th, 2006, 09:41 AM 6^ Ok then. Do they have plans to extend it?
ryanr April 12th, 2006, 09:42 AM Yes, Phase II will be an extention to Alabang. Phase III is a north extention to Balintawak, ultimately linking NLEX with SLEX. Phase III will be the most complex, challenging and expensive yet probably the most vital phase. It will be a good alternative to EDSA once completed.
And i think Phase IV is C-6, although its not a "skyway".
We have a skyway thread here: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=103263
KiBeN April 12th, 2006, 09:52 AM good alternative nga, less traffic, and if more homes are build in the south like Laguna, it will be just a 30 minute ride to Makati... and also add the southrail project to lessen the traffic.

ryanr April 13th, 2006, 01:14 AM I really wish the built "Manila Tower" on that site instead of next to Jaka.
queetz@home April 13th, 2006, 01:20 AM I dunno about that, GreyX. That means those poor people at Robinsons Summit and PBCom will be staring at a bare walled blunder. I think "Manila Tower" shouldn't be built at all at its current site if Jaka is going to be completed all the way and at any site if it remains to have bare walls at its side from top to bottom. I stand by my 687 Howe "resurrection" wish... ;)
cyrusal April 13th, 2006, 01:21 AM I wish Skyscity will take that place..

Well, they could remodel the bare walls on "Manila Tower". Make it more attractive for the site.
687 Howe for Makati is just a dream, since that wont be happening.
queetz@home April 13th, 2006, 01:24 AM ^^ I know...
Jefferyi April 13th, 2006, 02:00 AM ^^I thought that lot is reserved for an on-hold Westmont something Bank? It's not cancelled yet, right?
ryanr April 13th, 2006, 03:24 AM ^ Yeah, the Westmont Bank Building. Still on-hold, but could be cancelled since we have not heard anything for a while now.

I'm glad you guys like the photos :) . I have to say that many of the photo contributions here by other forumers are even more impressive.
Just like to note that I was lucky to be able to take some of these aerial photos. Usually, aircrafts out of NAIA takes off from the runway in the opposite direction of the above photo. For some reason, the take offs and landings had been reversed during this trip. I don't know if this is now permanent, but in any case, if one is on the left side of the aircraft and taking off from runway 06/24, one will definitely be treated to a magnificent view of Makati skyline.

renell April 16th, 2006, 02:49 PM That is freaky. Isn't ORT an SOM production? I never though they'd be one to recycle ideas

bagel April 16th, 2006, 06:34 PM Can somebody dig up the original renderings for Roxas Triangle project (with One and the shelved Two Roxas Triangle)? Are they exactly like the one Tyronne posted?
ryanr April 16th, 2006, 07:20 PM Yes, the one tyronne posted is the original SOM rendering of the Roxas Triangle buildings. So it doesnt just look like Roxas Triangle, it is!
tyronne April 16th, 2006, 08:44 PM ^^so is it safe to say that they just posted the wrong rendering for that particular KL porject? because from the construction photos, it's still early and hard to tell if the bldgs will actually look like ORT, apart from the bldg orientation that ka kiko pointed out.
@fhoy: don't worry, i'll let you know pag meron uli session lol! :D
bagel April 16th, 2006, 08:47 PM Are they ever going to build TRT, like say if the economic conditions are better? Or is it shelved for good?

Jefferyi April 16th, 2006, 09:38 PM That is freaky. Isn't ORT an SOM production? I never though they'd be one to recycle ideas
I think highly of SOM, since their archtects constantly churn out wonderful projects all over the world. I still think SOM is way above that recycling though. For now, let us just all wait and see if those twins in KL will look like ORT.
ryanr April 16th, 2006, 10:41 PM That is freaky. Isn't ORT an SOM production? I never though they'd be one to recycle ideas
ehm...SOM is the king of recycling designs;) Look at Lopez Centre, doesnt it remind you of their Freedom Tower design? There are many other projects that have similar if not identical designs.
I still think highly of SOM, but they do tend to recycle their ideas. With that said, KPF is still my favorite:)
bagel April 16th, 2006, 10:59 PM ^^ Isn't it the other way around? Freedom Tower reminds you of Lopez Centre since the LC design came out first?
Sadly, both those projects are stuck in limbo. I guess whichever design gets constructed first will be the one that the other will remind you of.
I think SOM is cool especially the San Francisco office of SOM. But the New York office of SOM is terribly lacking in originality.
Jefferyi April 16th, 2006, 11:04 PM @GreyX Thanks for pointing that out. I tend to forget things lately, since I haven't been eating meat for days. I just checked the Pangsapuri Thread, and I don't think our Malaysian friends appreciate having a knock off building either. Damn those developers!
diz April 16th, 2006, 11:13 PM hey did they just have been mistaken??? it truly looks like ORT! is that okay..is that u/c in KL for real?? is it relatedfrom our ORT? somebody pls answer this tnx!
the KL forumers have been discussing about the building since 2003, said a KL forumer. I mean, omg, they will complete the 2 buildings before us... because we only have one.. :D
renell April 17th, 2006, 02:14 AM ehm...SOM is the king of recycling designs;) Look at Lopez Centre, doesnt it remind you of their Freedom Tower design? There are many other projects that have similar if not identical designs.
I still think highly of SOM, but they do tend to recycle their ideas. With that said, KPF is still my favorite:)
actually when recycling ideas come to mind I tend to think of Pelli...
let's hope there is SOME difference, maybe the window tint colors... or maybe the height? Do the KL forumers pin it at around 172 meters? Anyways we all know ORT is the first one out there, just look at the name: ONE Roxas Triangle :D
ryanr April 17th, 2006, 02:49 AM ^^ Isn't it the other way around? Freedom Tower reminds you of Lopez Centre since the LC design came out first?
Sadly, both those projects are stuck in limbo. I guess whichever design gets constructed first will be the one that the other will remind you of.
I think SOM is cool especially the San Francisco office of SOM. But the New York office of SOM is terribly lacking in originality.
Oh yeah, it is the other way around since Lopez Centre was designed first. But i do remember queetz mentioning another building of the same basic design somewhere else.:) And i do agree with you that the SF and Chicago office of SOM is better than their NY office.
queetz@home April 17th, 2006, 04:25 AM ^^^ The design queetz is referring to is the old New York Stock Exchange Tower proposed by Donald Trump and designed by Kohn Pederson Fox, who happens to be the same architect for the GT International Tower and LKG Tower. It was supported by the NYSE but was killed by FAA regulators for being too tall.

c0kelitr0 April 17th, 2006, 04:29 AM Is ORT a residential building?
ryanr April 17th, 2006, 04:30 AM Yes, coke:)
Thanks Wally. That proposal would have been awesome for NYC's skyline:)
Francis20 April 17th, 2006, 04:55 AM Are they ever going to build TRT, like say if the economic conditions are better? Or is it shelved for good?
shelved for good. the first tower was not even sold out. only 50% according to a reliable source (a competitor?). now it's being occupied by US Embassy employees.
i counted the floors...and yeah...it's not just a shortened imitation of ORT....that's the VERY RENDERING of ORT, since i have counted over 50 floors. how could SOM do that?
szehoong April 18th, 2006, 05:00 AM Dun worry guys.....although the renderings (not the ones posted around SSC but the REAL ones) looks similar to ORT, it is not entirely similar. They used to have the actual renderings around but I can't find any at the moment. And they've removed it from the developer's website :(
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid87/p1c0a5966f049bfbeb7f92a637159076f/fa9e7132.jpg
^^ I could assure you guys that this rendering that's been circulating around isn't The Binjai. In fact when I first saw it, I knew instantly that it is not The Binjai as the buildings behind the rendering isn't correct at all. Furthermore at the back of The Binjai should be the Petronas Twin Towers which I think no renderers would miss
Another misconception surrounding The Binjai is that the towers aren't exactly twins. They are different in both width and height. Oh and one more thing.....the alignment for both The Binjai with the ORT twins are very different. It looked almost similar bacause if the different in width for both the Binjai towers making one looks like it is taken from the side ;)
diz April 18th, 2006, 05:40 AM ^^ omg, thanks for clarrifying that szehoong! :) yes i noticed that all renderings of buildings in KL have the Petronas Towers in the pic. :D
pau_p1 April 18th, 2006, 07:45 AM thank Sze for the clarification... :)

rockwell baller April 18th, 2006, 07:33 PM argory thanks for visiting our country! there are a lot of other beautiful places in the Philippines with nice accomodations and warm hospitality! nice photos also!
Jefferyi April 18th, 2006, 09:53 PM Thanks for posting your pics @argory.
The Shang Grand really provides our tourists a nice backdrop or subject for picture taking. I also just noticed that the shape of Shang Grand and that shorter bldg infront of it kinda look alike! The architects really did and excellent job in making the Shang Grand blend into the existing skyline.

argory April 19th, 2006, 03:38 AM Thanks so much for the compliments guys! Because it was a working trip, so the chance to see more was rather limited. Apart from Manila (baywalk, intramuros) I did make it to Tagaytay. :)
And Greenbelt is great, especially at night. The museum cafe was good too. ;)
KiBeN April 19th, 2006, 05:38 AM thanks for the pics!!! Museum cafe >>> I celebrated my b-day there last year. :)

Hahaha......yea.....currently there are many projects around the towers :D
So it is quite common to see the towers on most of the renderings ;)
pau_p1 thank Sze for the clarification... :)
THanks! I hope the wrong picture mistake won't continue to confuse all of us ;)

^^ Spot on! :D I do lurked around often but frankly, I only came here to clarify when some Pinoy forumers came into the Msian Forums and asked about The Binjai ;)
Yea....sadly TRT did not see the light of day. If not then it would be magnificent! :okay:
Francis20 April 19th, 2006, 04:44 PM Argory! thanks for sharing the photos. You should have said you're visiting the city and taking pics. I should have waved to you while at Citibank Tower on your second photo. I kind of got bored of makati over time. So it's nice to hear someone appreciate it...again.
And hey...let's all thank szehoong for the clarification! way to go for Malaysia! I heard you will be having a tower that looks like Rizal Tower of Rockwell? although i'm pretty sure it will not be very same as the one we have.
Coke, i'm starting to believe that the glory days of GT Tower is over. I used to be the most photographed tower (just a guess) before because of it's amazing architectural design in and out....but it seems like Shang Grand Tower is capturing more attention now. Let's hope something more iconic will be coming in the near future.

One reason for that is because its easy to take photos of Shang Grand Tower due to its close proximity to Greenbelt and Glorietta.

And it's always nice when a tourist takes great pictures of our country!
Dvorak April 20th, 2006, 06:16 AM it's not actually at the corner because the corner belongs to Makati Garden Club.. those apartments are the Urdaneta Apartments.. then you have the Twin Towers, then Pacific Plaza Condo and then the Ritz Towers followed by Gilarmi and Makati Tuscany.. in that order..

Askal82 April 20th, 2006, 06:19 AM I don't think GT towers lost its appeal yet. Both of these magnificent buildings make up a the skyline that characterizes Makati.

Is it too polluted to open the windows or hang around the balcony in those condos along Ayala Ave., especially yung Urdaneta Apts. which is also close to Edsa? Just that from the pic, mukhang polluted yung area and breathing all that pollution can't be good for those who live there. Wala naman sanang nagkakasakit (asthma, lung cancer, etc.) pa diyan. :runaway:

JAMAICUS April 24th, 2006, 06:10 PM Makati eyes IS property for research center
Deemed too expensive, the city government of Makati will no longer bid for sole ownership of the 4.8-hectare national government property formerly occupied by the International School.
Instead, it is now open to chip in with any land developer for the lot, Roger Marasigan, city council secretary and officer-in-charge of the city’s law department, told BusinessWorld in a recent interview.
"Robinsons Land, Ayala Land, Centuries Properties and Megaworld are also interested. We will definitely welcome any partnership," Mr. Marasigan said.
When asked for comment, Megaworld investor relation officer John Hao said the company is not interested in the school’s property.
Early this month, the Finance Department said it has been in talks with Century Properties and the AMA Group of Companies.
Community Innovations, Inc., an Ayala Land, Inc. unit, has already submitted a proposal to buy the lot, while Robinsons Land was also mentioned by the Finance Department in the list of interested parties. The government targets to complete the sale within the second quarter of this year.
The Finance Department has set a floor price of P1.186 billion for the property that is located along Kalayaan Avenue.
"Too much money involved. Even if we have the money, we don’t want to put it in one basket or in one property only. We have other projects also," Francisco S. Roman, city’s international relations head, added.
The city government has plans to convert the school’s property into a research and development (R&D) center, similar to the Silicon Valley area in California.
"The idea is to develop an R&D center for information technology [IT] and non-IT companies, targeting homegrown and start-up companies. The development will be similar to the R&D development in modern countries abroad like in Japan and India," Mr. Marasigan said.
The International School property -- consisting of school buildings, swimming pool, a soccer field, and a gymnasium -- was vacated after it transferred operation in Fort Bonifacio in Taguig. With its relocation, the school transferred all its rights over the Makati lot to the national government in exchange for a share in proceeds of the sale.
In Quezon City, there is already an existing incubation project for start-up companies, called UP-Ayala TechnoPark. Hosting about 10 small companies now, this project was developed thru a collaboration between the University of the Philippines and Ayala Foundation. -- M. E. Estavillo

by the way, the place where i took this photo is not a good site for taking morning shots of makati cbd. you have to position yourself with sun behind you. so pede sa bandang buendia or guadalupe. or sa PET Plans tower rooftop along EDSA. Someone took night shots there before. Kaso he's not a member of SSC.

actually Makati CBD looks like it was planned for two villages. In Salcedo and Legazpi it can be a pain with the narrow streets. Of course the ideal CBD is wide streets, easily accessible public transport, but Ayala has done great in putting up underground walkways, elevated walkways connecting offices to malls :okay: But the location of 4 major roads around it makes it properly placed.

Francis20 April 29th, 2006, 06:34 PM hala. thanks for appreciating guys. kaso those shots were not planned. just happened to pass by the area one friday i guess. then the fountain looked good. fortunately, i brought my cam. and before ma empty batt, i was able to take few shots. :) turned out nice naman ng konti. hirap nga lang kasi i have to hold the cam very still to get good effects. :D
Kiben, how expensive is the Museum Cafe? It's very refreshing to sit on that area.
mike, im guessing that the fountain shows all its possible colors in one minute or so. not so sure. the colors are: cyan, magenta/red na pink, blue na dark, then white. parang yung colors din ata na greenbelt 3 fountain. i'll try to observe that next time.
the colors, by the way are not synchronized. or was it intentional? look

I enjoyed that party, it was last year lang ata...

JAMAICUS April 30th, 2006, 09:09 AM Guys, what do you think of this article that may decide the future of Makati :
Lapid says Arroyo prodded him to challenge Binay
By Jun Malig
Inquirer
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—President Macapagal-Arroyo and First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo have convinced Sen. Manuel "Lito" Lapid to challenge Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay if the latter decides to run for a third and final term next year, the Inquirer learned.
Reason for this "political courtship?" To finally stop the protest rallies being conducted by the opposition and anti-Arroyo groups in the country's premiere business district.
Binay, a member of the opposition who has openly criticized Ms Arroyo and who has joined calls for the President's resignation, has allowed anti-Arroyo forces to gather in Makati City to air their grievances.
A day before he flew to the United States on April 27, Lapid told reporters here that the Arroyo couple, during a round of golf in Baguio City on Holy Week, had asked him to challenge Binay.
"Makati is a center of business and protest rallies have no place in that city because these affect economic progress," Lapid said.
To prove his sincerity to run for mayor in Makati, Lapid said he bought a house in Magallanes district and applied for residency in the city on April 25.
"I'm sure to run for Makati mayor. The people of Makati are no strangers to Kapampangan leaders. The well-loved, longtime mayor, the late Nemesio Yabut, was from Macabebe town," said Lapid, who served as three-term governor of Pampanga from 1995 to 2004 before he became a senator in 2004.
Assurance
Lapid said he was assured by administration officials and several businessmen in Makati that they would support his mayoral campaign.
The senator said his son, Pampanga Gov. Mark Lapid, was with him when the Arroyo couple asked him to run for Makati mayor.
Minerva Arceo, public information officer of Governor Lapid, said the older Lapid had been considering the plan to challenge Binay since Holy Week.
Arceo said the senator wanted to help Ms Arroyo, his kabalen (province mate), in her political problems.
Lapid, who was elected to a six-year term in the Senate that would end in 2010, did not say if he would resign from his post to challenge Binay.
Section 67 of the Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines, however, states that any elective official seeking another office would be considered resigned from his office upon the filing of his certificate of candidacy.
This section states: "Any elective official, whether national or local, running for any office other than the one which he is holding in a permanent capacity, except for President and Vice President, shall be considered ipso facto resigned from his office upon the filing of his certificate of candidacy."
Veteran enemy
But Lapid, a movie star, would face a veteran of local politics who has led Makati City for nearly 20 years.
Binay was first appointed OIC (officer in charge) mayor after the Edsa Revolution in 1986. He ran and won his first term in 1988 and served for three terms that ended in 1998.
Binay asked his wife, Elenita, to run for mayor when he reached the three-term limit in 1998. Elenita defeated Arturo Yabut, son of the late Mayor Yabut.
Binay sat out his wife's term and accepted an appointment as chair of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
In 2001, he was eligible to run again and defeated actor Edu Manzano in the mayoral race.

KiBeN May 1st, 2006, 04:08 PM hala. thanks for appreciating guys. kaso those shots were not planned. just happened to pass by the area one friday i guess. then the fountain looked good. fortunately, i brought my cam. and before ma empty batt, i was able to take few shots. :) turned out nice naman ng konti. hirap nga lang kasi i have to hold the cam very still to get good effects. :D
Kiben, how expensive is the Museum Cafe? It's very refreshing to sit on that area.
mike, im guessing that the fountain shows all its possible colors in one minute or so. not so sure. the colors are: cyan, magenta/red na pink, blue na dark, then white. parang yung colors din ata na greenbelt 3 fountain. i'll try to observe that next time.
the colors, by the way are not synchronized. or was it intentional? look
at these other photos taken that time:

Binay vs Lapid: The battle begins
First posted 11:23pm (Mla time) May 02, 2006

Inquirer
EXPECT the race next year for Makati City mayor to be interesting. “Rambotito” has just taken on the challenge of “Leon Guerrero.”
Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay yesterday said he was ready to face Sen. Lito Lapid if the actor, who had portrayed several characters, including Leon Guerrero, a local version of the “Lone Ranger,” decides to push through with his plan to run for city mayor in 2007.
Binay, who earned the tag “Rambotito” after he was spotted wearing a flak jacket and toting an M-16 rifle at the height of a coup attempt against then president Corazon Aquino, described the electoral contest, however, as a “war by proxy.”
“They (President Macapagal-Arroyo and First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo) can use their power, influence and money. In the end, the people of Makati will be the ones to decide,” Binay said in a statement.
“That would be a dream fight, but sadly, it seems that the Arroyos would rather have someone else to do the fighting for them,” the mayor added.
Lapid, who like Ms Macapagal-Arroyo, is from Pampanga, had told reporters that the First Couple have convinced him to challenge Binay next year, should the latter run for a third and final term as mayor.
Lapid said one of his reasons for running was to stop the antigovernment rallies being held in Makati. Binay is the head of the United Opposition.
Binay, however, retorted: “It is rather naïve to run on a platform of disrespect for the Constitution.
“The people of Makati judge their candidates on the basis of performance, not popularity. Anyone who has run a local campaign should know this.”

Francis20 May 5th, 2006, 05:55 PM Now Let's jump to it's neighbor...Export Plaza Bank.
By the way, I did it again...I mean I sneaked through a skyscraper again. :D This time, it's Export Plaza Bank. With 37 liveable storeys. I entered through the Chowking entrance - facing Buendia. Then after finishing my short order at Chowking, I checked the elevators. Unfortunately, there was one guy who went along with me at the elevator.
I waited for him to push his floor. Then I'll go a floor higher.
He pushed the 36 button. I was left with no choice, but to choose 37. So up and away. It took us less than 10 seconds to reach the 36th floor. That was fast! Citibank takes more than 5 sec to reach 20. After 37th, I just pushed G so I could go out unnoticed.
And here are the photos...

tyronne May 5th, 2006, 07:49 PM your photo skills keep on getting better, ka kiko :okay: those pictures are amazing!
of course, si marvin din :okay: his photos are very clear and crisp. i like the pag-ibig bldg. sana taller siya ano?
rockwell baller May 5th, 2006, 07:50 PM i went to makati yesterday and took a long walk just to roam around buendia. i noticed that the world centre building is also good. it is glass-curtained but the outside is quite dirty. sayang i did not bring a camera. well the back of GT tower is somehow disappointing but still good to look at and the back of LKG is beautiful. i ate some snack at jollibee insular life and the vicinity is great to see while eating. the view is great cause it is facing ayala and paseo de roxas and beautiful office girls are passing by. but it's also exhausting since it's summer.
by the way nice pics of export bank plaza Francis20! daming call center dyan.

yeah the world trade centre is also a nice building and i agree the surroundings is so dirty also. This is sad because this is the world trade center. As soon as you reach pasay coming fr makati the trash seems to gazzilion times multiply. its pretty filthy.

Im supposed to be having my OJT too with Steph but it's already too late for me if I will still pass all the requirments this May sa Palaox firm. Maybe I'll have my luck next year.
ashley12 May 6th, 2006, 12:25 PM ^^lol... If Im not mistaken they made a thread last month in Samahan which shows their thesis. I dunno what happend to them bigla nlang silang nawala. :D
ishtefh_03 May 6th, 2006, 12:40 PM @francis- great pics!!! ganda talaga ng rcbc!!! galing ng effect, minsan blue, minsan green...
@sugbuanon- i think were not the only archi students here, and i know that there are some architects na who is here in SSC like edmundtanso... masasabi ko lng na di sila ganun ka active sa SSC...
@ash- talaga, bat di ko yon nakita??? i know ako ung nag post ng mga gawa ng mga nagthesis sa photo album thread...
ashley12 May 6th, 2006, 12:50 PM ^^ steph, they did. They made a thread "Thesis of the Year...err..." something like that. They posted I think the top 5 thesis of the year in Archi UST. Sabi panga nila na hindi daw deserving yung nangunguna and they even blame the judges.
We’ve already seen some who showed photos from up there in several skyscrapers. Kaya pala, me British Embassy yata sa Locsin Bldg.
This is also a good chance for you to have a glimpse what is it like in the corporate world. Exasperating pero challenging, at rewarding. Unfortunately, di ako kumakain sa PB Com. Kasi aside from being expensive, malayo din sa Citibank. Twice ang price. Ganito, me suggestion ako.
You will learn by experience.
Ok ba? Salamat at me improvement pala ako… Kung walang SSC, nakakawalang gana kumuha. :D
Dxpsycho, nahuhulaan mo na ba kung what’s common between Orienta Garden and GT? GT is owned by GT and perhaps Oriental Garden din. Parehong me connection sa Metrobank. Hay…sana me ample time…magkukunwari ako naghahanap ng unit sa Oriental Garden. :D
Rockwell Baller, thanks for your compliment. The area at Ayala-Paseo looks very world class. Putting resto at Insular Life turned out nice. Now I’m not against commercializing the area anymore. So what call centres do you know have their offices at Export Plaze? I’ve heard of West, Sutherland and some of People Support. The uppermost floors are lighted up kapag gabi. Sana pag di ako naunahan ng hiya, nacheck ko sana ang tenants for each floor. About LKG, I will agree, it looks very elegant kahit anong angle. Lalo na pag linapitan mo. Maiinlove ka sa building na to. Yun bang tipong pag asawa mo ay di mo pagsasawaan. Hahaha…
Tes, Are you referring to the World Trade Centre in Pasay or The World Centre along Buendia in Makati? The World Centre is not the World Trade Centre. Parang tawag lang yata, but it has nothing to do sa World Trade Centre. Medyo confusing nga.
Pau, sino naman nagsabi sayong pwede kumuha ng pics while driving? Nice pics for a driver by the way! :D Hehe…
By the way, meron ba kayong request na building na gusto niyong kuhanan natin? Para naman me mission and vision kunwari. :D
