Mkenyasili October 10th, 2011, 05:53 AM Me too, but i heard kenya played really badly.Ans if it was not for the keeper we would have been whitewashed 5-0 or more.Oliech also messed up an opportunity to score.Kenya should now head to brazil or Argentina for 6 months training.Play friendlies every weekend. +1 this is too embarrassing Oliech and Mariga are just like accessories to the team :ohno:. They should go to some form of boot camp.

Gor and AFC Leopards match called off after crowd clash
By Gilbert Wandera
Rowdy fans caused the abandonment of Thursday's Football Kenya Limited semi-final match against archrivals Gor Mahia at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Gor were leading 1-0 at the time of abandonment.
Fifa referee Davies Omweno was forced to call off the match with seven minutes of injury time yet to be played after some fans in the terraces kept pelting assistant referee Gilbert Cheruiyot with stones. Cheruiyot was pelted at least twice forcing the game to stop before it would resume.
When the fans kept throwing stones Omweno called of the match.
Thursday’s match was as dramatic on the pitch as it was off it. At one point, Leopards striker Mike Barasa had to be rushed to hospital after he collided with Gor Mahia goalkeeper Ronnie Kagunzi who also could not continue with the match.
Gor defender Eric Masika was hit with a stone on the head. Off the pitch, there were several skirmishes between the fans resulting in several running battles and not less than three people were injured and had to be attended to by the paramedics.
Policemen had to fire teargas to disperse the rowdy fans as Prime Minister Raila Odinga who was in attendance was whisked away. Moses Odhiambo scored the only goal, which separated the two sides in the 55th minute beautifully heading home a Moses Otieno free kick. Football Kenya is expected to make a decision on the matter on Friday.
Earlier, Francis Chinjili’s had hit the Gor post in the first half and it was the closest that Leopard’s came to score in a first half that was punctuated by missed chances from both sides. Chinjili got space in the middle of the Gor defence and took a long-range shot, which beat Kagunzi but was blocked by the post.
A follow-up attempt by Osca Kadenge did not yield fruit either. Unlike when they were demolished 3-0 by Leopards early this month, Gor looked more settled on Thursday and had an early effort by Moses Odhiambo going just off the post in the first minute of the match.
Barasa had a first attempt at goal in the fourth minute but was denied by Kagunzi. Four minutes later Dan Makori pounced on a miss by Kadenge but blasted wide. As Gor piled pressure, Makori was again put through by his striking partner Odhiambo but he blasted wide. The Gor midfield dominated the early proceedings with Collins Okoth winning most of the balls and spraying them dangerously.
Gor opted to attack from the flanks and it nearly paid. As the first half came to an end, Leopards also had their chances but Masika at the heart of the Gor defence always cleared the danger.

Despite having announced his retirement from international football, Arnold Origi has been included in the preliminary Harambee Stars squad. Stars proceed into camp on Monday to begin the long road towards reaching the next Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be held in South Africa next year.
The Norway-based custodian called time on his international career ostensibly due to niggling knee injury he sustained in 2008 while playing for Stars against Zimbabwe. Origi had said his decision to quit from the international scene was arrived at after thorough consultation specialists on his health. Origi is currently on loan at his current club from FK Moss. “He is our best goalkeeper and we hope that he will come out from his retirement because his country still needs him and he has a lot to offer even to the goalkeepers who will be coming behind him,” said former Stars coach Zedekiah Otieno.
Kimanzi’s decision to name him in provisional squad might have been with the hope that the 28-year-old will be spurred by patriotism and he will reconsider his retirement. He named a provisional squad of 31 players to begin residential camp at Kasarani. Stars head coach threw up several surprises with little know European-based players Ayub Timbe (Genk,Belgium) and Christian Bwamy (Valddez, Norway) receiving a chance to earn their first cap for the Harambee Stars.
Taiwo Atieno now at Torquay FC also makes return to the national fold after three years in the cold. Nairobi City Stars left back Peter Ashango, Sony Sugar striker Enock Agwanda and Kelvin Serenge are the unfamiliar home-based players called-up into the side. Stars face Togo at the end of this month in their first round match of the 2013 South Africa Nations Cup qualifiers. The winners will then proceed to the second round group stage.
Provisional squad
Keepers: Arnold Origi (Ullensaker/Kisa, Norway), Boniface Oluoch (Tusker), Duncan Ochieng (Sofapaka);
Defenders: Brian Mandela (Tusker), Antony Kimani (Mathare), Ndetto Mulinge (Ulinzi), Pascal Ochieng (Rangers), Osborn Monday, James Situma (both Sofapaka), Dennis Odhiambo (Royal Thanda Zulu, SA), Yusuf Juma (Gor), Erick Masika (AFC), Peter Asango (City Stars);
