Summary: Doubletree is a unique engineering feat. Its concrete structure was built right on top of the already existing Palace Theater on Broadway, which hosts the musical Beauty and the Beast. The cornering of the building on the edge of the block is cylindrical. The façade is purplish concrete and the windows are exposed without beams going up and down.

New Jack City April 5th, 2004, 05:14 AM 7.5/10...Overall interesting, especially the shape and the facade is pretty good. The base is alright, very Times Square-ish and it's uniqueness easily blends in the neighborhood. I don't like the red stripe down the middle, it looks like it was used to seperate the two portions of the tower, but they should've used a different color.
