ur welcome ras, atbara is also know in sudan as the city iron and fire ( balad al7aded wal nar) :) .. It use to be an industrial zone housing the main railway station in sudan. But ever since the railway went bust so did atbara, but its slowly coming back up again. Its strategically located connecting portsudan with khartoum and the north state. It also has 6 cement factories.
Its population isnt that big tho, maybe a little under one million, but as business starts to pour in again so do its people.
