Even though the excavation is deep, they are only going to be four levels underground.

Habitat is 12 floors above ground, with the bottom 4 floors being a combination of retail and commercial suites. The 8 floors above are apartments.

Walked by the site at 11 Chandos Street this afternoon. There is a crane on-site but construction still hasn't reached street level.

Walked by Habitat's site yesterday in St Leonard's on Chandos Street and noticed that the core is about 4 levels above ground now.

That is proving fast progression since my last visit since late last November.

Today I noticed Habitat @ 11 Chandos Street had the bottom 4 commercial levels well under construction, with the first of the apartment component being level 5 well underway too.

Only another 7 levels to go, making up the 12 levels.

Walked by there yesterday whilst in St Leonards and this one has topped out. Still wire scafolding on its facade, however this should be dismantled relatively soon.
