baqthier April 6th, 2004, 03:39 AM 2nd ones' the best! Too bad my last trip I didn't take any night pics. So you figured out what they are doing at the HSBC base? I saw it under rennovation. :)
RafflesCity April 6th, 2004, 03:43 AM Thanks!
They have boarded-up the base (but tastefully). No idea what theyre doing I guess they giving the base a fresh look?

Cliff April 7th, 2004, 04:02 PM Is that the new lights for OMB???
http://img43.photobucket.com/albums/v133/RafflesCity/DSCN2065.jpg
Wow! But a little tacky.:D
huaiwei April 7th, 2004, 04:05 PM The OMB lights look just like your normal window lights thou? I dont seem to see external lights except for that vertical thing....
Cliff April 8th, 2004, 10:29 AM Yes, I'm talking about the vertical thingy, like Suntec.
Actually, I think they should remove it, it makes the skyline look tacky and causes it to loose depth.
huaiwei April 8th, 2004, 11:14 AM But is it realy a lighting feature? Cant tell from the small picture, but maybe it was not meant to be a permanent thing or wat? :D
kidd April 8th, 2004, 11:24 AM My friend Julian promised to take me to Singapore someday...
So far, it's only a dream =.="
p.s. I can't see the photos other than the "x", maybe it's my connection?

And I could not see the photos just a moment ago too....suddenly they worked as I type this post now thou?! :D
kidd April 8th, 2004, 11:56 AM >huaiwei, wow! True! I can see it now! What a magical touch!
Julian = my friend who lives in Seattle, he owns a Mitsch 3000 GT VR4 and has a wonderful Japanese girlfriend (wife now).
Is he here? I kind of lost touch w/ him nowadays...-.-
huaiwei April 8th, 2004, 12:01 PM Haha...maybe its just sheer coincidence! :D
Julian sounds familiar...did you know him from this forums?
redstone April 8th, 2004, 12:02 PM Your really should take shots of Parkview Square! It is near Bugis MRT ,and is worth the trip!
Hey ,that's Bugis Village! Why didn't you turn around to shoot the PVS?
RafflesCity April 9th, 2004, 11:46 AM But is it realy a lighting feature? Cant tell from the small picture, but maybe it was not meant to be a permanent thing or wat? :D
Actually I think it is a permanent feature, and part of the lighting scheme for the building. Maybe they plan to have all new downtown buildings lighted up like that?
http://pachome1.pacific.net.sg/~mippy/nightskyline.jpg
@redstone, it was a bit far to walk there since I wanted to take pics of the old beauties.
Thanks everyone! :)
huaiwei April 9th, 2004, 12:25 PM Well...I hope its not neon lights? :D
RafflesCity April 9th, 2004, 12:32 PM It IS a neon outline, but actually I think it looks quite nice seen from upclose, as long as they dont overdo it on other buildings
