This is Vålerenga Kultur og Idrettspark by LinkSignatur. Proposed stadium has 22 000 seats, with possibility of an upgrade to 35 000 seats.

Maybe you accidently happend to stumble on something when you said the new national stadium. This could be some renders for that stadium that Asplan Viak are working on. Remember that NFF must have this ready before february 2010!

If Groruddalen get's a national stadium there will naturally be a design-contest so there is really no need to get worried or happy based on early renderings :) And why would they make a map facing south :nuts:

A new arena for Stavanger Oilers hockey is getting buillt. Construction starts in a few months. Complete in 2011 - hopefully before seasonstart.

That is great news. I read the capasity will be 4.800 during hockey matches, and 5.500 in conserts.

That is a good development. I hope we can get a new ice hockey rink here in Trondheim as well. Rosenborg IHK will sooner or later be promoted to the top tier.

Hopefully there will be better at handling finances than the former club of Comet :lol:

In short; VIF has sold rights to some plots to NCC, for commercial development. Though the public hearing will not be announced in a couple of weeks still, it seems like the finances are now taken care of. One small step for VIF, a giant leap towards our own stadium :banana:

Opening for the club's centennial celebrations (2013) might still be a possibility...

Med tre baner og 6535 sitteplasser under kamp er det ikke en småhall håndballen ønsker i Bergen sentrum.

– Etter våre beregninger vil det koste 300-350 millioner å bygge selve anlegget, sier Iversen.

Det har tidligere vært fremmet planer om en byarena i Åsane, men nå vil håndballkretsen ha den lokalisert til området Kronstad/Mindemyren.

– Vi vil være innenfor bybanens område, og på Kronstad bygges det nå en ny høyskole. Der kommer 5000 studenter, og selv om de bygger en egen, vanlig idrettshall, ser vi for oss at det blir altfor lite. Studentene vil kunne bruke en byarena på dagtid.

The specific tread you mention i made because of the proposed highrises, but naturally since the stadium is also part of the project you can discuss it there (aswell as here or in Oslo development tread.). But the discussion is also going on in the N&B arenas tread that is more active. This type of overlapping treads are typical for the forum, so i understand if it's little confusing.

And the sound? Was it as terrible as media and some people have said?

No, the sound was great from where I stood. But the PA-system stopped working for a few seconds 3 times, so we only heard the sound from the stage :lol: Some digital error in the mixing console I guess.

Everlong and Best of You are definitely their best songs, imo. Probably the only songs by them I actually like.

They also have some genuinly horrible stuff like "Erase/Replace", if I remember correctly. Most of their stuff is completely meh imo.

Her er trøst til dere som ikke fikk billett til cupfinalen søndag: Ullevaal får 2700 nye tribuneplasser. Planene om ny gigantstadion i Groruddalen skrinlegges nå av toppene i fotballforbundet.

Sad decision, but understandable as long as the government don't want to use any money on a new stadium.

Norway deserves a 60 000+ stadium. Even tough it would only be filled 2-3 times a year as a football stadium. A 60 000+ stadium could even host the European finals. Tough the CL final probably needs closer to 70 000 to be an serious candidate. Munich with 66 000 is the lowest capacity for the CL final in recent years.
