If built, this new tower will replace the grey gas holder on the right (90 m tall, built in 1932). Atleast the nimby's can't complain that the skyscraper will "ruin the area", 'cause that gas holder is ugly as hell.

Precisely. Another interesting fact is that the ground there is severely polluted. They'll need to clean a bit first.

Gaslockan has now reached the planing stage november 2nd - december 7th, 2010

A small update.

The detailed plan for Gasklockan will be out on exhibition after the summer. Can't wait to see if any new renders will be released then.
And then approval late this year I suppose? The builder today said in an interview that he expects it to be appealed but that the highrise will be built!
