The church of Ribeirão, on top of the hill: unfortunately I couldn't get inside. Even though I was there at 17:00 and it was supposed to close at 18:00 the guardian was attending a funeral.

Que bela surpresa! Gosto muito do Ribeirão da Ilha, é uma das regiões mais tradicionais e preservadas de Florianópolis. Seu centrinho histórico é encantador. Muito legal também o zoom no skyline de São José.

Gratificante rever Ribeirão da Ilha terra onde meu bisavô plantou raíses quando veio de Portugal. Eu estava completamente esquecido desse lugar que deve ser município ou distrito da Grande Florianópolis.
Ironicamente alguem que não fala português ressolveu fazer um thread do local onde teve continuidade a árvore genealógica de um ramo de minha família de origem Portuguesa.

thanx for the comments. Ribeirão was very quaint. Generally Santa Catarina is a very nice state with a lot to offer: sadly I haven't visited the interior yet but hopefully I will one day.

I'm not a big fan of Ribeirão. But I recognize that this part of the island composed the famous "way to be" of the island that we know today:)

Não gosto tanto do Ribeirão, mas eu reconheço que esta parte da ilha ajudou a compôr o jeito mané de ser de Florianópolis :)

Que hoje de mané Floripa quase não tem mais, a cada ano, o estilo de vida mais moderno e cosmopolita vai minando os costumes locais...
