for thos familar with Surfers pd, the Artique will be built across the road south of the 30storey Surfers Century on GC Hwy. The 15st barronet is on same block.

Great design! Love the glass patchwork that runs down the tower in that strip. The abundance of 90+ scrapers planned and UC on the GC are really densifying things up! This, in addition to the two Giants (Q1 and Circle) will make for something really special in a couple of years!

Funky design and nice width for a 90 metre tower.
This will add plenty of bulk to the skyline.

That's the problem with your Surfers Panorama Cul. The minute somebody buys one, another tower gets proposed, making the pano out of date.

got official height today from gccc. I thought i was 90m , it will be 95m to LMR. it will be 10m taller than nearby Surfers Century. so yet another impressive 300ft+ scraper.
Id love to take a helicopter ride at 300m from sea world to Jupiters in 2005 flying above GC hwy. now that would be impressive footage!

the bottom half looks like your typical bloody gold coast scraper, but then the top half is really what sets it apart a few decades...

Further to that, I've just read Raptis's latest brochure which states that this tower is to commence construction in August 2004 and finish in August 2005. So sounds like it's going off. The 1-year construction period sounds a bit dubious though...I would've thought more like 1.5 years minimum.....but look at the way chevron went up!

Raptis are an unbelievable construction firm! they have a strong history with GC and its many highrise. they build them quick, strong & faultless!

Cool! When did the building to the right of Silverton (?) go up? I don't remember seeing it last time I was up there. Looks good though.

yes models are c00l! ive said it before and ill say again, they dont muck around on the gcoast.! they get there DAs in and then build the bloody thing! its finished before you know it.

Amazing design. Re firefly's pics of the model -at first I thought there were little splashes of red randomly distributed across the design, but I just realised they're tabs to show which apartments have been sold right? In which case it's selling quite well.
