How long until you make that trip? Sorry, I've forgotten.

Your real name is Tim, right? I guess I've just always assumed...

No, it's fine, I understand. I had to go off for three weeks a few months back for school.

Yeah, Driver's Ed is a mandatory 40 hour class that must be taken in order for us to get our license to drive alone. I had to go to the class Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon. It was clearly terrible...

So how are things in Den Helder?

Tim! I haven't talked with you in a long time. What's up, man?

By the way, I'm really sorry I couldn't wish you a happy 2 year SSC anniversary. I've been at Driver's Ed all week...

Alright, I was hoping you had seen it there. Otherwise, I'd definitely have been freaked out.

Alright, well it's been great talking to you. Just PM me whenever you want to talk. Also, I have a Skype if you want to try that out anytime tonight or tomorrow afternoon EST. I speak slowly coming from the South, if that helps any.

My name's Lanier, by the way.

Yeah, I just checked out a neighborhood in Den Helder, and it looks different from Rotterdam and Den Haag. It feels a little more American than Zuid Holland. What's the city like?

As far as Albany, it was just voted America's 2nd saddest city, and it's the 3rd poorest and had been 1st for murder at the turn of the 21st Century. My neighborhood's pretty nice, though, located in a middle class neighborhood in the suburbs. If you want to check it out, I live at ___ (edit).

Albany is 3 hours South of Atlanta and about 2 hours from the Florida beaches. And funny you mentioned New Orleans. I forgot to mention I'll make my first visit there for 7 days this summer as well on another mission trip.

I've never been outside the US, but now that I've got a part time job as a soccer referee, I'll hopefully be able to visit Europe within the next 5 years. I hope it's a great experience for you.

NYC is by far my favorite city. I went 2 years ago when I was 13 for a mission trip, and I got to see a little of Manhattan, but this time I'll cram it all in just touring. I live in Albany, not Albany, New York, by the way. Others very high on the list for me are Chicago and Hong Kong, which I'll try to tackle by 2015.

Unfortunately, we learn Spanish, which is a culture I'm personally not particularly fond of for some reason. I'd much rather learn Dutch or German.

And that trip sounds amazing. I hope you'll have a blast here in the States. Although the farthest West I've gone is Wyoming and Montana, I don't know much about it. I'd love to visit San Francisco (LA isn't my cup of tea) someday. I'll be visiting New York this summer for 5 days with my dad and some friends.
