Yup, New York is an incredibly beautiful city. New York and Chicago are the most interesting skyscraper cities for me. I like Chinese skyscrapers too but American skyscrapers have a rich history and appear to me to be more iconic. That's why I love to follow their projects and making diagrams for them so much :)

Btw, check out the 225 West thread. An article has stated that it'll be 1 450 feet tall. That's incredible, a breathtaking height indeed. I hope this is true and is what gets built in the end

But the other dream was a pleasant one. I had this dream when I was already a hardcore skyscraper geek. In that dream I went for a trip to the Nanjing Greenland Center and before its entrance I started to lecture random bystanding people about roof height and about how this building is shorter than the Willis Tower and far shorter than what the CTBUH officialy claims. That was a fun dream :-D

Btw, dreams are a funny thing indeed, I remember two skyscraper related dreams I had. The first was a nightmare I had when I was a kid after 9/11, in that dream two planes hit two of our Bratislava highrises, later I found out that one of them was 112m and the second 88m, so far smaller than the TWin Towers, yet by that time I didn't know that so I imagined their relative size to each other similar to the real 9/11.

Lol, the things we skyscraper geeks have nightmares about. :D

No, it probably just means subtracting a floor or two. This means more room for residential space, and that it could go even taller with the FAR.

No news on any. Only that Nordstrom decreased its commercial space, and that it did get the Piano Building.

Yup, NYC skyscrapers were the ones I truly knew about even before I became a skyscraper fan. They were everywhere in television. Fact is, I'm a skyscraper fan only as long as I am on this forum. Before that it never even occured to me that skyscrapers might be something interesting. This forum really did shape me in a major way :)
