Yes, my grandfather Mr Fischer and his brother used to own the island many, many years back. They gave it back to the dwellers on the island during the last World War.

I never saw it, as I left after education at De La Salle in Manila for Europe 1963. So the Palacio Clan owns them now, I see.

Am planning to come back to the Philippines next year hopefully. Wanted to go see the island, as I only have a painting of Majaba, a friend of my Grandfather once painted, while he was invited, and visited my family there.

    Salamat !

Your grandfather used to own majaba island? Are you referring to Naranjo Islands (now known as San Vicente islands) because my mother and her siblings now own three of those islands - medio (panganoron), rasa (mahaba) and san andres (maragat). Palacio clan. Thanks.

    Hi Raven,
Majaba is an Island off the coast between Leyte and Samar. It used to be the private island of my Grandfather in the early 1940ties. We left the Philippines in the 1960ties of the last century. I now live in Germany since 1963. I hope to have answered your question appropriately. Mabuhay ! :)
