Notes:
Foster’s second major tower for the City of London, this will stand opposite the Lloyds Building and SwissRe.
Demolition of the current site has finished and construction is well underway. It is expected to be finished by around late 2006.
All 400,000 sq ft of the building has been let to the Willis Group, who wanted “an iconic building” for their new HQ.
It will become the 4th tallest building in London's main financial district.
The Willis Building is an organic design with a V-shaped floorplan. The tallest element is 124.8 metres with setbacks at 97.1 and 68.6 metres allowing the building to step down to the height of its neighbours.
