Show your city Tram cars
I'd like to see pics of operating tram cars (or even no-more in use ones, if you want) on tram networks around the world
Models used in your city, but even, if you want, tracks, signals, facilities, depots or whatever you want to talk about :) |

I like Instambul old streetcars: they are ones of my favourite old trams! :)
Beautiful shots bitxofo... :okay: Am I wrong or in Barcelona there were any tram lines till the begin of 20th century, then dismissed? |
Quote:
All tram network was dismantled in Barcelona in 1971 except TRAMVIA BLAU, which has been always running since XIXth century! Since April 2004, we have new tramways. :wink2: |
Amsterdam - The Netherlands
160 cars of this type (seven sub-types) have dominated Amsterdam between 1957 and 2004. During this period, they wore three different colour schemes:
http://www.amsterdamsetram.nl/gvb/01...s-2004-091.JPG Now some of them can be found on the Museum Line to Amstelveen: http://www.amsterdamsetram.nl/gvb/01...terdam0080.JPG And others were sold to Poznan in Poland. The 8G series (built 1974-75) were of such poor quality that they did not survive. The last cars were removed in 2003: http://www.amsterdamsetram.nl/gvb/08...sterdam090.JPG A tram from the 9G/10G series (built 1979-80) : http://www.amsterdamsetram.nl/nieuw/...msterdam16.JPG A bi-directional car from the 11G series (built 1989-1990) : http://www.amsterdamsetram.nl/nieuw/...msterdam07.JPG A single directional car from the 12G series (built 1990-1992) and very similar to the 11G series: http://www.amsterdamsetram.nl/nieuw/...msterdam04.JPG To the left an ugly Bombardier Light Rail car (express tram) from the first series, (built between 1990 and 1994), to the right a CAF metro train from the last series (built 1996-1997) and adapted for use as Light Rail car. Although operated by Metro cars, line 51 to Amstelveen is more a tram (distances between the stops, average speed, crossings with other traffic): http://www.amsterdamsetram.nl/nieuw/...sterdam-46.JPG A Siemens Combino: http://www.amsterdamsetram.nl/nieuw/...msterdam86.JPG Another Siemens Combino, one of the four bi-directional cars: http://www.amsterdamsetram.nl/nieuw/...msterdam96.JPG |

Later this year, when the new ALSTOM RegioCitadis cars will enter service, they will be sold to Hungary. http://www.digitaletram.nl/editie/DT.../IMG_9743G.jpg A scale model of a new RegioCitadis car, to be built for 'Randstadrail', the new light rail service between The Hague and Zoetermeer (running on line 3, 6, the new tram tunnel and the former Dutch Railways suburban rail line to Zoetermeer, which will be converted to tram exploitation). It will start in 2006. http://www.amsterdamsetram.nl/nieuw/...6denhaag00.jpg |
