Shun Hing Square
Shenzhen, China HEIGHT: 384m/1,260 feet FLOORS: 69 floors COMPLETION: 1996 ARCHITECT: K.Y. Cheung Design Associates Shun Hing Square is the tallest steel building in China and the tallest building overall in Shenzhen. The tower is a thin slab with rounded corners clad in glass. I don't know why I love this tower so much.....Unique it is! 9.5/10........high marks for Double Spire!
|
I like the double spire too, but the facade seems just a bit bland. Sort of needs some texture or something... It reminds me too much of those glassy corporate highrises in Houston for my taste.
I only give it an 8.5/10 |
Nice! 9/10. Looks dangerous. This building has fangs, like a double hypodermic needle.
|
8/10
Yes it looks dangerous and menacing. But I dont like the side view..too thin. It can only look good in China somehow... http://www.hotelinhongkong.net/updat...enCityView.jpg |
I don't know why I don't like this building as much... It's design seems better suited for a building that's 250m, IMHO. 7/10

:eek2: no comment. 10/10

Great building |
The "Angelica Houston" of China's Talls; sheer 'n slender Class (capital "C").
9 |
It's an ok tall.
The brown/pinkish facade loses points for me though. 7/10 |
mmmmm . . 8/10
|
8.5/10!
- I like the color scheme - "Shiney" - sleek - I love its twin spires! |
The spires give this building style, but looking at it from it's narrow sides doesn't look good.
8.5/10 |
Nice...looks best at night.
8.5/10 :) |
I don't fancy this one too well. 5/10
|
I'm not sure if I like this building 6/10
|
Fantastic. But however much the spires enhance the overall impact, it's more likely they've been added for height. btw 9/10.
|
shun hing square, don't like this building, but it look so clean;)
|
it somehow looks good:D 9.5
|
I like the look so I will give it a 9.5/10
|
7/10 - This tower reminds me, somehow, of a transistor radio; it has an interesting, sleek 50's look, especially with its curves and those "fins" visible on the last picture. I also like the blue on the facade. And the two antennas work well, because the curving setbacks fit them into the curves of the tower, emphasizing its symnetry.
It doesn't soar skyward as well as it might, however; it's a bit blocky broadside on, and could probably use some setbacks or indentations. Finally, those contrasting strips along the facade are NOT the right color at all, and it would help the height if they were vertical. |
I like this building although the front facade is a bit blocky, the pic of it from the side is great...gives it a futuristic look from that angle...love the double spires as well....8.5/10

9/10
I really love this sleek skyscraper. The tint of the glass, the twin spires at the top, the overall design, the way it dominates the Shenzen skyline. I love how it looks from the side, too. |
6/10

I love how it looks at night.
