first off - thanks for the update, Skouli.
second order of business: this place isn't opening anytime before 2008. construction status aside, i contacted the Rezidor head office in Brussels, Belgium (the company that operates the Radisson SAS, Park Inn, Missoni, Regent and Country Inn brands), and they told me that the first Hotel Missoni properties will debut in 2008, with Kuwait in the first/second quarter and Edinburgh later that year (if not in early 2009).
i've also got a bit of a visual treat: i'm sure you all know that Missoni is a designer brand that puts a lot of emphasis on strong color use and plenty of lines. the interior of their hotels won't be any different, and it's really going to be something different and new in the designer hotel market. i'm posting the pictures below, along with a picture of the Edinburgh hotel to show you guys what the other place is going to look like architecturally.
