Work on Raheja's Oma project in Dharuhera's Sector 2A has begun:

Raheja Developers to invest Rs 300 crore in group housing project at Dharuhera

NEW DELHI: Raheja Developers today said it will invest about Rs 300 crore in a group housing project at Dharuhera in Haryana over the next 4-5 years.

The project, Oma, will house 640 apartments and will be one of the tallest buildings in the area with 40 storeys, the company claimed.

"This is a very important project for us that will have all the luxury elements. We have already started construction and will invest about Rs 300 crore to develop it," Raheja Developers Chairman and MD Navin M Raheja said on the sidelines of an Assocham event on green buildings here.

The company will take slightly longer duration to complete the project than in usual cases due to its height and will hand over the flats in the next 4-5 years, he added. "We are targeting foreign nationals working in different MNCs, especially those in the auto firms, located in the industrial areas nearby. We are offering a wide range of flats from 1-BHK to 6-BHK," Raheja said, adding the total number of flats will be 640, including service apartments.

The sizes of the flats will vary between 550 sq ft and 4,500 sq ft. The company will offer the apartments at a price ranging from Rs 17.5 lakh to over Rs 1 crore, he said. When asked about source of funding, he said it will primarily be internal accruals.

Elaborating the project, Raheja said 'Oma' will offer a host of facilities of "global standards" to the residents such as international restaurants, spas and swimming pools.

Maruti shifts gear to set up Rs 1,700-cr diesel engine plant in Gurgaon

Buoyed by the increasing demand for diesel vehicles, the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) on Saturday announced an investment of Rs 1,700 crore to set up a new diesel engine manufacturing unit at the company’s facility in Gurgaon, Haryana. The company will invest an additional Rs 900 crore in Rohtak to beef up research and development (R&D) facilities.

In a meeting held on Saturday, MSIL’s Board of Directors approved the setting up of the new unit, with an initial capacity of 150,000 units per annum. The unit will go onstream in 2013. In the second phase, production capacity would be expanded to 300,000 diesel engines by 2014.

“In the first phase, we will invest Rs 950 crore. After that, we will double the manufacturing capacity to produce 300,000 units per year by 2014. This will entail a total investment of Rs 1,700 crore,” said R C Bhargava, chairman, MSIL.
With the Finance Minister allaying fears of imposition of an additional tax on diesel vehicles in the Union Budget tabled last week, automobile manufacturers have begun to pull out all stops on their proposed investments in diesel engine facilities.

While Maruti Suzuki on Saturday approved the new unit in Gurgaon, rival Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is giving finishing touches to its plan to set up a diesel engine unit in Chennai. Likely to be set up at an investment of Rs 400 crore, the facility will have an installed capacity of 150,000 units per annum.

With petrol prices rising five times in the current financial year, the difference between the two fuels now stands at a whopping Rs 25.51 per litre, up from Rs 10 in April 2010, resulting in an increasing number of consumers opting for diesel cars. According to industry estimates, in the current financial year, the sale of diesel vehicles has grown by a whopping 35 per cent to account for over 47 per cent share of overall sales in the passenger vehicles segment.

Bhargava informed, “Petrol car sales have declined by 15 per cent in the current financial year. In the coming year, we are trying to bring down this decline to six per cent, but still we will be selling about 50,000 petrol cars less.

City to have helipad soon

Corporate honchos frequenting Gurgaon’s Cyber City can bid goodbye to traffic snarls in the near future.

To provide better air connectivity, the Board of Approval (BoA) for special economic zones (SEZs) has given its nod to DLF Cyber City Developers Limited to build a helipad in
the cyber hub.

The firm is a subsidiary of DLF Limited.

The BoA headed by Union commerce secretary Rahul Khullar approved the developer’s request during a meeting in New Delhi on March 13.

The helipad will be set up on the rooftop of building no.14. Building no. 14 is situated off the national highway-8 and is in close proximity to the Gurgaon-New Delhi border.

However, the approval is subject to the condition that the helipad facility will be exclusive for SEZ operations.

The developer’s application had stated: “The facility will accommodate operations of helicopters which will be required not only for rescue operations.”

The developer has also given an undertaking that the structure of the rooftop would be modified to strengthen the building roof, while the building’s remaining part the will not be changed.

The developer has also given an undertaking that all required approvals from various government agencies like the Airports Authority of India, Director General of Civil Aviation, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, ministry of home affairs, ministry of environment and forests will be taken by them before starting the facility.

The proposal was forwarded to the BoA by the special economic zones development commissioner.

The special economic zones in the cyber city was notified in April 2007 about an area of 10.73 hectares.

Earlier, the developer had worked out a 6.1-km long

private Metro Rail network to provide fast means of transportation to its prime colonised areas in Gurgaon, particularly Cyber City, which has a huge inflow of employees from Delhi and neighbouring areas.

The Haryana cabinet in 2009 had awarded the project for the Rapid Metro Rail — from Gurgaon’s Sikanderpur station to national highway-8 — to Rapid MetroRail Gurgaon.

Not quite sure how you made the sale but the Power of Attorney is usually used by NRIs with foreign passports to transfer their old Indian property over to someone or make a new purchase on their behalf in the desh.

You're in the RE sector so you'd know more. Just be safe :)

Haryana Urban Development Authority to cement stretch leading to Sohna Road

GURGAON: The road that connects Sector 47, 50 and 51 to Sohna road is finally going to get cemented. HUDA has planned to cement the 1,200-metre road and allotted around Rs 1.5 crore for the project.

The company which has been given the project's tender has been asked to complete the construction work within the next four months. According to HUDA engineers, the construction of the road will begin next week and the department will ensure that good quality material is used for the road construction. As per the tender, the company has been asked to maintain the road for three years free of cost.

At present, residents of South City II, Today Blossoms, Mayfield garden, The Palladian, M2K Aura, Malibu Towne and others are using the road. Since the road is without a median, it becomes very chaotic in case of heavy traffic load. RWAs of several private colonies had been taking up the matter with HUDA for the past two years but in vain
