Astana has been the capital of Kazakhstan since 1997, and is the country's second largest city (after Almaty, the former capital) with an officially estimated population of 775,800 as of 21 June 2012. It is located in the north portion of Kazakhstan, within Akmola Province, though administrated separately from the province as a federal city area (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astana)

actually i got strong Russian feeling for the city, in terms of architecture but it has very unique and asianic somehow middle eastern feeling

We have 6,846 kilometers border between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan so that tells something about the Russian influence in architecture.

But Astana architecture is more organic promoting harmony between human habitation and the natural world through its design approaches :)

Thank You Abdullah and Greetings to you too

Astana does not mind to become an Asian hub but ambitious Astana targets more than that :) Population of the city has been growing steadily reaching almost 800,000. It will take another year or two to reach a dreaming million point :)
