Most projects will be completed by end of 2005/early 2006, except for Jakarta Tower - 2008/2009.

the number next to project name indicates number of stories, then height. However a lot of information remains unknown as you can see below...

(I've arranged them in order them based on height, and number of storeys. Number 48-55 I do not even know how many towers those projects will consist of, except for number 49 which will have 1 tower)

cool they're all pretty tall. maybe Jakarta will have a new skyline after they're completed

Jakarta will have a Hongkong-like skyline when those buildings are completed... Notice the numbers of "Towers 1, 2, 3, etc." that are under construction...

They are mostly apartments and condominiums!

What i can provide is a list of PJ constructions:

1. Amcorp Service Suites, PJ State - previously the Awana Hotel, this abandoned project which is part of the Amcorp Trade Center has been revived as a serviced apartment (the first in PJ City). It is also one of the few significant high-rise developments in the "old" PJ (areas not part of the "boomtown" of PJ North).

2. Millennium Place, Sec. 14 - condominium and shopping arcade located very near the popular Jaya Shopping Center and Metrojaya in Sec. 14.

3. Bayu Puteri Condo, Tropicana - three 17-storey blocks near the Tropicana Golf & Country Resort. My new apartment is located here!

4. Palm Springs @ Damansara - huge condominium complex at Kota Damansara, comprising six towers overlooking the North-South Expressway.

5. The Curve, Mutiara Damansara - 1utama's rival, this complex follows the "street-mall" concept popular in the USA and is expected to open by end-2004. Its existing "tenants" include IKEA, Ikano Power Center, and Tesco, with the massive 20-screen Cathay Cineleisure slated to commence business in 2005.

6. 22-storey condominium in Kelana Jaya (i do not know the name of this development) - three towers, this is the first high-rise to cross 20-storeys in this PJ suburb that is very near the former Subang Airport.


There are many other major developments around PJ, particularly in the North area. I'll post more about these projects once i get more info...

Construction around KLCC :

1) Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre - A state-of-the-art convention centre by KLCCB that includes a huge indoor aquarium and retail spaces.

2) Marc Service Apartments - twin towers (forgot how many storeys but I know it is around 40) - A luxurious condo & service apartment

3) K Avenue (shopping mall) - Opposite Menara Maxis......its condo cum service apartment project K-Residence are supposed to be resumed pretty soon.

4) Parkview ( 45 storeys .....I think.....I am very bad at numbers! ) - Service apts

5) Dua Residency (20 storeys twin) - A super luxurious and snobbish condo

6) KLCC Apartments (one at 45 storeys and another 44 storeys)

7) Stonor Park (20-storeys twin) - A luxurious condo

8) Traders Hotel - A business-class hotel ajoining the KL Convention Centre

9) A 5-star hospital by KLCCB opposite RSGC and Kuwaiti Embassy

Baq> Are all these construction active (which i hope so)? I thought The Orion for example has had its construction halted? Realised majority of these projects involved residential development. Anyway it's great.

The Orion has just resumed their construction. It's part of The Selborne project. The news of it's resuming was on the The Star in February this year

I passes by the site about 2 weeks ago and I saw some heavy machineries there and they are constructing the cement mixer/storage thingy there.......so I guess they should be doing the ground works now.....can't really see the ground cos it is blocked by the construction divider
