There are soooo many! My favorite buildings are not skyscrapers or other commercial structures. The ones I'm drawn to are those that are more intimate, have interesting spaces, are built with real architectural ideas and capture the light in poetic ways. Many of them are houses.
Here are just a few random ones that I have seen in person. I could list dozens more. Taliesin compound in Spring Green, WI, by Wright: ![]() The Nelson-Atkins Museum (Bloch building) in Kansas City, by Steven Holl: ![]() St. John's Abbey in Collegeville, MN, by Marcel Breuer: ![]() Robie House in Chicago, by Wright: ![]() Nicol House in Kansas City, by Bruce Goff:

yes, really.
i love boxes, especially ones as finely detailed and executed as the daley center. the building is perhaps the ultimate expression of architectural strength. and cor-ten, all of that sexy, sexy cor-ten.

LeVeque is my favorite as well. Central Trust-PNC (Cincinnati), Fisher (Detroit), Wells Fargo Center (Minneapolis), Willis and Tribune Tower (Chicago), and Key Tower (Cleveland) are also up there.

And just imagine what it will look like once it's been cleaned up and renovated.
