Designed by NY based FxFowle architects, the Ruby Mills tower is the northernmost highrise under construction in town. This commercial tower will have 34 floors + a 4 storey podium for parking. The structural engineers/designers is NY based LERA and the construction is being carried out by Vascon Engineers.

CDSL to move out of BSE building to Ruby Mills

Central Depository Services Ltd (CDSL) is ready to move out of Jeejeebhoy Towers, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) headquarters, to a new location in central Mumbai.

Talking to Business Standard, a top CDSL official said: “We have purchased a 45,000 sq ft office at Ruby Mill compound in Dadar as we are expanding operations in a big way. We realised that the 14,000 sq ft space in the BSE building was small.”

While CDSL has also cited security issues and vehicle parking problems for its decision to shift base, sources within the depository said the company was having differences with the exchange over various issues.

The BSE, which is the original promoter of CDSL, is in the process of increasing its stake in the depository to 51 per cent from the current 36.5 per cent.

The Ruby Mills compound is now called the Ruby Corporate Park. Snippet in an article -

In past few years the Mumbai city has developed dramatically, all the mills are closed down and are shifted to out skirts of the city, government is focusing on improving the infrastructure to get more business and to make a place for residential also

. Now with so many skyscrapers comming in Mumbai anything less than 60 floors doesn't catch your attention
