Each of them really have major flaws. Nasser's economic policies were really bad, Sadat discriminated against Copts, and Mubarak, ofcourse, for obvious reasons, I dont even have to explain why he's horrible.

But if I had to choose one, it would be Sadat because he achieved a significant military victory by crossing the Suez, & made peace with Isreal, which was a good move for our country and the region.

LOL was nice joke wasn't it? haha.

I voted El Sadat. because he did handle it right and he wasn't scared from anyone he came after the war and he is the reason why Egypt have infrastructure and good economy.

why? why do you think Gamal abdel naser is better? I think he wasn't free he was under control of corruption. unlike el sadat he put all people on power the 5% in nowadays he put them in jail because he know that they control him and cause corruption but he wanted to fix Egypt after the war.

Peace with Israel is among the main reasons Egypt is in a relative state of political stability. Wars would have done nothing good to Egypt, only more desruction and an economy that is heavily in debt.

As for the actual poll...

Mohamed Naguib was used by the Free Officers as their "head" since he was pretty old and had alot of influence. But after taking over the country, he was used as a puppet, and was thrown out, dare I say, illegally by a bunch of corrupt soldiers.

Gamal Abdel Nasser on the other hand lead Egypt into a state of patriotism and nationalism. Egypt was pretty much involved in every single war in the region: Israel (48, 67), Yemen, and Algeria. He, along with the Free Officers are among the people responsible for everything post-revolution. Education, economy, and every single industry in Egypt faultered under their control.

Anwar ElSadat ... the man who wanted to bring democracy to Egypt. He knew it would not be implemented until peace with achieved with Israel and the Arabs. A future where Egyptians can live in a country without bloodshed. He had planned to step down from the presidency after the complete return of Sinai. He did throw alot of people in jail during the time he wanted to accomplish and sign the peace treaty, because he saw certain people as a barrier to his peace intiative. Those people included both Muslims and Coptics. He never solely stood against Coptics.

Hosni Mubarak ... Our best president ever, in my opinion. He has his issues, and they are big, but I really respect what HE was able to do for Egypt through the past 30 years or so. I won't get into details on the good, and the bad he did, cause I've discussed those like 10 times.

what you talking about we where just in war with them our military and equipments where almost vanished. we requested help from every single Arab country for another war to finish it off and all of them refused and stood against us the only thing could be done is just making peace with Israel.

we where under pressure our self we should think about ourselves and our problems and solve them before solving others. if he didn't do that Egypt will be just an expand to what is happening in Palestine now. just like south Lebanon.
