ADMIN Thread - Ideas, Suggestions, SSC/Mods Messages, Thread Title Change Requests, etc
Guys as in previous new sub-forums I suggest that anyone who wants a thread moving, renaming, or posts moving around - please post the links and the requests into this thread. You'll find that things will happen by request rather more swiftly than debate mixed in amongst other places... so once you are sure what you want - please put it in here and either myself or Woodhousen will sort it out for you.

Sunderland & Washington
So anyone else feel that having Washington in the forum title is pointless?

Doesn't look like it's going to be changed though.

Sunderland and Durham
I feel "Sunderland and Durham" would be a more suitable name, not only for practical reasons, but also for historic ones. I'd be most surprised if there was any discussion about Washington on here in the near future (beyond Turbine, which I'd say is Sunderland proper anyway), many in north and west Washington feel culturally closer to Tyneside, and including Washington but not Houghton or Peterlee makes no sense. All in all it'd be much better to rename the forum "Sunderland and Durham".

Who would we contact to let them know how we feel on this subject?

If you have a look in the Newcastle Forum, you will see that we regularly contact the mods to arrange things like this, simply by putting a message into our Naming and moving threads and posts thread. That is actually what it is for, and (I understand) that the mods check it every day. It makes sense to use YOUR version of this thread, which should be a sticky near the top of the board, as they know to look in there and don't need to read through all the other threads, just to find out if anyone is trying to contact them. They don't always AGREE with what you ask though . . . I've just been shouted at (nicely) for asking them to do something I should have done myself - but it usually works!! Is it possible that this forum, 'Sunderland & Washington' be renamed to just 'Sunderland' or 'Sunderland & Durham'. As i and many others on here feel having Washington in the forum title doesn't really work.
There isn't really that much development planned or happening in Washingon and certainly no more for example than Peterlee or Seaham.

Can the General Chat thread be renamed Skybar. I tried changing it myself but it only edits the title when actually viewing the thread.
Thanks.

Can this sub-subforum please be renamed "Sunderland and Durham" rather than "Sunderland and Washington"?

I think it'd be a good thing if the three sticky threads here were unstickified and allowed to fall and rise up the thread like all the others. I see no particular reason to have them permanently at the top. Thoughts?

Can I suggest that the "Development Summary" thread is unstickified as has not taken off at all and serves no purpose.
Can I also suggest, contrary to my above suggestion, that this forum remains sticky but is renamed "General Forum Issues" or something similar, and further recommend that the Skybar is made sticky for the reasons proposed in that thread. |

Development Summaries are rarely updated anywhere on SSC, but serve as a reminder and reference point for your local plans. It's stuck for just that reason.
General forum issues are to be discussed in >this< thread.... thats why its here. I can stick the skybar no problem. Any issues in future please pm me directly if you need immediate action. Cheers |
