I think undoubtedly KL will out rule all the cities in Malaysia due to its massive skyline as well as skysrapers especially the Twin Tower.
The runner up will be obviously either Georgetown, Penang or JB, Johore. Both have their specialty and beauty. Coming up could be... PJ, KK, Kuching or Ipoh... hard to rank man...

. As KV tall buildings is 2.5 times (guesstimation) the sum of all Malaysia's cities. All other cities are being completely dwarfed . To me, Category A, international class compares to Hong Kong, Singapore, and Beijing. Category B is domestic level great skyline. C, Domestic good skyline. D, Domestic emerging skyline. E, Domestic - begining to form a skyline. F, Oh that is a skyline; and G, a skyline?

My earlier one was just "top 10 skyline"... Now here's my list of "most beautiful/scenic skyline":
1. KL (the cream of the crop!) 2. Penang (something like hongkong i.e. many tall apartment blocks, but more spacious area. Gurney Drive has a GoldCoast-like skyline!) 3. PJ (very spread out, buildings have all sorts of designs albeit rather short) 4. JB (nice cluster of skyscrapers in the City, but too bad the surrounding area is still quite low-rise) 5. Kuching (beautiful view of skyscrapers next to the river) 6. Malacca (oldest city with the most number of modern high-rises! I especially like the areas on the coast, such as Klebang and Malacca Raya) 7. KK (a mini-hk, with buildings on the waterfront backed by small hills and mt. kinabalu in the distance) 8. Subang Jaya (well-planned skyline, all buildings seem to be placed according to the straight-road grid here) 9. Klang (relatively recent cluster of high-rises, most of which are located at the Northern part of this city. There are more apartments and hotels than office blocks here) 10. Ipoh (Melbourne-like squarish grid, high-rises are all over the city center)

![]() Petaling Jaya (State area only lah)! It's a bit hard to get a pix of the ENTIRE cityscape of PJ, as the city is so spread out... The only way is either from the airplane or space satellite... Kevin, that school you are talking about sounds familiar... Izzit the Hin Hua School located just opposite Metro Club? That's the tallest school around what...

1) Kuala Lumpur - not only best in Malaysia but could be best in Asia
2) George Town - most high-rises oustide KL, few tall ones but others seem to have same height 3) Johor Bahru - cute skyline with modern buildings 4) Petaling Jaya - interesting skyline, looks american 5) Kuching - quite a nice skyline, a few cool glassy ones 6) Malacca - more buildings comming up 7) Alor Setar - err.....Menara Alor Setar?? other cities are more or less the same IMO. how about some pics of Ipoh, Kuala Terrengganu, Kota Kinabalu, Kuantan and Kota Bahru??

These are my suggestions for nos. 4-6:
4. Petaling Jaya - that skyline view of PJ State (the city center) is the most "popular" skyline views... However, PJ has many suburban areas with significant high-rise clusters, including Kelana Jaya, Damansara Perdana, Tropicana, and Damansara Uptown... 5. Malacca - for a city founded in 1400, Malacca has a nice high-rise skyline... The City Center has its Renaissance & Emperor Hotel cluster (and not forgetting the Hang Tuah Walk), Malacca Raya is dominated by Century Mahkota and some apartment blocks together with Equatorial Hotel further away, and Klebang has something like a GoldCoast skyline! Not forgetting the four apartment blocks of A' Famosa resort... 6. Kuching - the most sparse skyline of the three but Kuching has several nice glassy towers located along the riverside... That, in my opinion, has the best setting for a skyline (high-rises reflected in the river!)... Wish the buildings were taller, though... As for nos. 7-10, here are my suggestions (do not follow my previous post): 7. KK - a more seafront version of Kuching's skyline... 8. Subang Jaya-Sunway - imagine a smaller PJ ...9. Kuantan - reasonably modern skyline for the most significant eastcoast city... 10. Klang - relatively recent high-rises (Regency Tower, Dynasty Condo, Goldcourse Hotel etc) all over the place... Pity that there are several abandoned projects as well... Ipoh has fallen out of the list, though... Skyline-wise, it loses out to kuantan in terms of better-designed tower blocks and location (kuantan is near a river and the sea, ipoh is rather land-locked)...
