Questions to power supply systems in Aalborg area
I have got some questions about some electricity supply systems in Aalborg area:
Nordjyllandsvaerket has 4 chimneys, but according http://www.vattenfall.dk/da/file/nor...dk_7841587.pdf it has only 2 working units and 1 gas turbine. Why are there 4 chimnies? Does the gas turbine use also one of the three larger chimnies of Nordjyllandsvaerket or does it use a small chimney covered by the buildings of the power plant? ( I know from a similiar facility in Germany, where the gas turbine unit uses a chimney, which is little in comparision to the huge chimney of the coal-fired unit). Close to Nordjyllandsvaerket, 2 powerlines crosses Limfjorden overhead. The eastermost of these lines has the tallest electricity pylons in Denmark. Has someone pictures of them? A bit eastward in Vester Hassing, there is one of the oldest HVDC stations in the world, the startpoint of "Konti-Skan". In 2007 the old mercury arc valves of Konti-Skan 1 were replaced by modern thyristors. Were some of the old valves donated to museums? If yes, to which museums? |
